Behind it the Inner Circle line can be seen, which ran from Royal Park, through Carlton and Fitzroy, and joining the then-Epping line at Rushall.

The Argus reported a fire had occurred in a dump of 2,000 tons of briquettes at the North Fitzroy railway siding.

🎂🚉Happy 95th birthday to Rushall station, opened on 1st January 1927.

The proposed Metro 2 tunnel will start nearby, providing a faster trip to Parkville and the city for the Mernda and Werribee lines, and boosting rail capacity to NE and SW suburbs.

✔️ One route, which opened in 1901, connected Princes Bridge with Clifton Hill, making the circuitous Inner Circle line more or less redundant.
