A fantastic move. Traditional evaluation methods are only testing the studentsโ memory. In this age of machine learning, acquisition and processing of memory is better done by machines than human beings. The Open Book Exam is also an opportunity for examiners to step up the quality of who they are because this approach will fire the imagination of students- they will read and write more. Congratulations to @Cbse_official for this wonderful initiative which will raise the bar for both teaching and learning. -Sg
Wonderful that the objective sciences are investing in studying the efficacy and effectiveness of traditional subjective sciences. These findings confirm the experience of millions of Yoga practitioners over several millennia. Congratulations @NIMHANS_BLR - the study will promote greater acceptance of the Yogic Science of Wellbeing, much needed to curtail the rise in mental health issues globally. -Sg https://t.co/fKoS4u7flN

Did you know that the Maldives, renowned for its azure waters and pristine beaches, generates an astonishing tourism revenue of over $11 million per square kilometer annually? With a total land area of 298 square kilometers and tourism revenues reaching $3.5 billion (2021), the economic impact of tourism in the Maldives is truly unparalleled, accounting for nearly a quarter of all tourism receipts in South Asia.
In contrast, India's own tropical paradise, Lakshadweep, showcases a canvas of untapped potential. Spanning an area of 32 square kilometers, Lakshadweep's annual tourism revenue stands at merely rupees 20 crores, resulting in a revenue per square kilometer of ~$75,000. This stark contrast between Lakshadweep and the Maldives narrates a tale of potential and possibility, demonstrating how strategic development and branding can catapult a destination to global prominence.
Lakshadweep is just one example of India's untapped tourism potential. From the majestic Himalayas to the serene backwaters of Kerala, the historic forts of Rajasthan to the lush tea gardens of Assam, the bustling metropolises to the tranquil villages, India offers a kaleidoscope of experiences for every traveler. Picture the thrill of trekking through rugged mountain trails, cruising along gentle waterways, or witnessing vibrant cultural festivals. By promoting these diverse offerings and ensuring responsible tourism practices, India can attract a wider range of visitors and boost its economic growth.
By developing destinations like Lakshadweep and beyond, we can elevate India's stature on the global tourism map, bringing prosperity and recognition to our nation's unparalleled beauty and heritage.
