We have delivered poles for the maximization of Aligula electricity scheme, which will benefit 136 households in Aligula, Sokomoko, and Kanus villages in Likuyani Ward.

The upgrading of the Furfaral–Kongoni–Mapera Road to bitumen standard is steadily taking shape.

The current contract is surface dressing (chip seal), and construction of a box culvert.

Full bitumen surfacing for this section will be undertaken together with the Kosoki–Mawe Tatu roads project, which has already been awarded with an expanded road network to be covered.

My heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their daughters in the tragic fire incident at Utumishi Girls Academy.

We also pray for the quick recovery of those injured and are receiving treatment in hospitals.

It is deeply heartbreaking for the families and the nation to lose such young and promising lives that were pursuing education and a brighter future.

Hosted the Likuyani ATM SACCO Animal Feeds Processing Plant funds drive at Ivugwi Secondary School.

This project will enhance livestock productivity by providing farmers with affordable, high-quality animal feeds, promoting value addition, and strengthening sustainable economic growth among members.

We continue to invest in building our schools infrastructure to create a conducive learning environment and enhance overall academic performance of our students.

Today, we commissioned a new administration block at St. Michael’s Kilimani Secondary School, funded by Likuyani NG-CDF.

The building will enhance the working environment for teachers and staff, improve service delivery, and support the school’s continued growth.

We remain committed to ensuring that every child in our constituency has access to quality education, leaving no student behind.

At Kaggwa Primary School, we have commenced the construction of three modern classrooms for Grades 1, 2 and 3. The classrooms are fitted with terrazzo flooring for durability and ceiling boards to provide a more conducive learning environment.

We will progressively enhance the school’s infrastructure to accommodate more learners and reduce the distance children travel in pursuit of education.

St. Teresa Comprehensive school has undergone major facelift with the renovation of six dilapidated classrooms into modern and conducive environment complete with terrazo flooring.

This project is funded through utilization of Likuyani NG-CDF, reflecting our commitment to invest in our schools infrastructure and improving the quality of education in the constituency.

Inspected the ongoing renovation works at the Likuyani Magistrate’s Court, which are steadily taking shape.

Our continued investment in education is yielding positive results, reflected in the increase enrollment to senior secondary schools, increased direct university entry grades, and improved overall academic performance in our constituency.

At Matunda S.A Secondary School, we are constructing a modern administration block complete with a student library and computer lab through utilization of NG-CDF, to enhance the learning environment.

We remain committed to empowering our students through our bursary programme to ensure every child gets an opportunity to pursue their education.

Today, I joined H.E Governor FCPA @BarasaFernandes during the issuance of bursaries to schools in Likuyani Sub-County at St. Peters' Moi'sbridge Girls Secondary School. The governor also graced the school Annual General Meeting and Prize Giving Day.

This education support complements the Likuyani NG-CDF bursaries that we disbursed last month, where 120 students from the school benefited.

The Parliamentary Departmental Committee on Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives has commended the steady progress in the construction of the Kakamega County Aggregation Industrial Park.

The delegation led by Hon. Marianne Keitany (Vice Chairperson), made the remarks during an oversight visit to assess the progress of the project.

The Ksh 500 million project, co-funded by the national and county governments, is set to unlock investment opportunities in value addition, boost farmers’ incomes, reduce post harvest losses and create employment for our people.

Today marks a major milestone in the establishment of the Likuyani Magistrate Court.

We have officially handed over the Old constituency office in Imbinga to the contractor for renovation and construction of amenities,
through the utilization of NG-CDF.

This will reduce the cost and distance our people have endured for decades in accessing justice.

The Nyorotis–Makanyanga electrification project under the Nurugizani Gizani initiative is well underway, with 105 poles already delivered.

Upon completion, the project will connect 220 households to reliable electricity, and unlock new economic opportunities in the area.

Better roads will open up our constituency, enhancing the movement of people, goods, and essential services.

We have reopened the Mbururu Market-Chepkaka Primary School Road, which had been closed due to encroachment.

Electrical materials for the maximization of Chepkaka transformer have now been delivered, paving the way for the connection of 168 households to the national grid.

This is part of our ongoing efforts under the Nurugizani Electrification Program to expand access to electricity, drive socio-economic growth, and reduce energy poverty in our constituency.
