Twenty years ago we invaded Iraq. The war killed many innocent Iraqis and Americans. It destroyed the oldest Christian populations in the world. It cost over $1 trillion, and turned Iraq into a satellite of Iran. It was an unforced disaster, and I pray that we learn its lessons.
"@KCCAUG plans, @MoWT_Uganda controls the roads & the money, @StateHouseUg controls priorities. Everyone agrees in principle. But no one owns execution.
Kampala is a city of endless coordination, zero confrontation, maximum caution, and minimum delivery!" 🙌🙌

Sub-Saharan Africa remains the epicentre of the crisis. In 2024, the region accounted for 19.3 million new internal displacements—more than any other sub-region. The cumulative total of IDPs in the region reached 38.8 million, nearly half the global figure.https://t.co/6eN8KtbWVG
Zambia is building a brand new 4-lane 316-km highway between its two biggest cities, Lusaka and Ndola. Once completed next year the road from Lusaka to the border with DRC, at Kasumbalesa, will be a 4-lane 450-km expressway.
Less than 24 hours ago, Pope Francis called for a ceasefire in Gaza.
He previously described Israel’s war on Gaza as “terrorism.”
Religious leaders around the world shouldn’t keep silent during a time of injustice, let alone a human catastrophe and an ongoing genocide.

With the conclusion of the 1st stage of the hostages deal and in light of Hamas's refusal to accept the Witkoff framework for the continuation of the talks, to which Israel agreed, PM Netanyahu decided: as of this morning, entry of all goods & supplies to the Gaza Strip be halted
Over 40 Ugandans Released by Myanmar Rebels remain stranded on the Thailand Border with no Return Tickets. They narrated that Uganda Embassy in Malaysia told them it lacks capacity to repatriate them. Whoever can assist with return tickets please do as we continue reaching out to rescue organizations like @UNmigration@IOM_Uganda ,AND as we continue demanding that Uganda Government @UgandaMFA steps in to rescue these Uganda citizens. It is absurd that distressed Ugandans abroad are never rescued.
I as well continue reminding Ugandans to seek travel advice before opting for Myanmar. Unfortunately Uganda victims continue to increase mostly youth.
Any volunteers willing to assist in any way kindly reach out to me for additional information.
We shall commit all possible efforts in the rescue of these Ugandans in Myanmar and all those distressed globally mostly the Middle East & India.

The US aid freeze is forcing mutual aid groups in Sudan to halt their lifesaving work just as volunteers also grapple with increasing attacks against them by the army. @_MalazEmad and @RawhNasir report: ⬇️ https://t.co/Dtl5zKmhds
The recent announcement by Secretary Blinken declaring the RSF’s actions as genocide, along with sanctions on Hemedti and associated companies, comes far too late and underscores the failure of U.S. diplomacy to act decisively when the Sudanese people needed it most. For months, we have been sounding the alarm about the RSF’s atrocities, including ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, and the systematic targeting of women and children. These heinous acts were not hidden—they were clear for all to see—yet the United States chose silence and inaction, enabling the RSF to perpetuate its brutal campaign.
We’re honoured that His Majesty King Charles III has made a donation to support our critical humanitarian efforts in Syria.
This generosity from @RoyalFamily underscores our shared commitment to helping those affected by this crisis rebuild their lives.
