@AmericanAir the in-flight promotion for your credit card is not a commercial but a hostage situation. It goes on forever and I don’t know why you’re shouting at me. Not a motivation to book with you again.
@mtgreenee Even Grok disagrees. Just ask:
No, vaccines do not cause autism. Extensive research over the last several decades has consistently shown no link between vaccines and autism.
Jesus didn’t sexually assault women, lie, ridicule, and whore monger. Drawing crucificial parallels between Christ and a degenerate politician cheapens the meaning of the cross, blasphemes His sacrifice, and blatantly reveals the god you serve and the duality of your worship.
@erichoke Sorry but as someone formerly of the charismatic tradition, education is essential. Some of these church Bible schools/programs are almost comical. Rather there needs to be educational reformation that improves accessibility with compromising intellectual integrity.
@Allbirds@allbirds Bought these last summer and just washed them. Colors bled through and material is cracking in several places. Not the quality I expect at this price point.
@dmichaelclary Became members of a church, served, got into a small group. Attended 18 months and decided to leave due to lack of community. It was almost 6 months before anyone realized we were gone and only then because they needed something.
There are so many reasons pastors feel taxed and overwhelmed, and as a pastor turned pastor-to-pastors I and others are deeply involved in the formation and care of pastors.
But the reasons for the clergy crisis run deeper.
Pastors are formed within individualistic, consumeristic, competitive, and comparative cultures. And we’re still burdened by the inheritance of an Empire-mentality where the Cross was turned into the logo for a conquering clergy. Just listen for the militaristic language we use, even the names of ecclesial networks. Bigger, better, stronger, faster is exhausting.
Many of us offer pastors care and practices for health. But small adaptations will only help so much. We need a revolution of pastoral imagination and practice.
@AbolitionRising@SkyeJethani I get it. You have less than 2k followers and you’re hoping to get attention by misrepresenting someone with an established reputation and has been EXTREMELY clear that he is pro-life in multiple episodes of his own podcast. This is a ill-conceived over-reach.
