Mr. Gunst, who grew up in Henrico and graduated from @HenricoSchools Freeman High School, envisioned a large-scale office park with landscaped settings & amenities for employees in western Henrico at a time when Broad Street was a two-lane road in the area.
It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Sidney J. Gunst Jr. He was a visionary real estate developer who saw the potential in 1979 of building a suburban office park in the hinterlands of far western Henrico that would become known as Innsbrook.
