@CakedUpDonut@AlanNicholsonYJ@denpanopticon Skip tree sentinel, follow the graces, and get to stormveil. Once you get to that castle-like area with that big troll and a bunch of archers, use your horse to speed past them. Once you do that the game really begins, you’ll find invaders, evergaols, more story and lore
@vesper_118 Playing a game and hating it is genuinely elevating, I can pick apart exactly what I dislike and hate on it with more passion than if I ever just saw gameplay
@AlanNicholsonYJ@denpanopticon But a lot of games nowadays let you just mindlessly go on about it without challenging you at all. Look at BG3, love the game, but if you’re not on tactician at least, you can coast through the whole game without interacting with several mechanics/abilities.
@AlanNicholsonYJ@denpanopticon Not to say Elden Ring is easy, I do think games now hold your hand a little too much. Look at the difference in difficulty between re4 and re4r. Games now need to have a bit of a learning curve; you lose, you learn, you get better by not doing the same thing.
