Thanks to @InovasOrg, @Yasmenmashan, @ImpunityWatch, and @SCM_Syria for the engaging event.
We are proud that families, victims, and CSOs were the key to establishing the @IIMPSyria as the first @UN entity to search for the missing in a specific context.
“There are no shortcuts when it comes to #VictimParticipation. Investing in VP leads to stability and #progress.
Victims should have the first word - work together and collaborate with them in #justice processes.”

Restoring trust in #Nepal requires a shift toward genuine #justice & #accountability.
✊We urge the world to support victim-led, transparent, and inclusive #truthseeking
✊We call on the Gov't to reorient #TJ processes towards meaningful #VictimParticipation
Full statement 👇
Justice must be victim-led.
INOVAS stands in #solidarity with survivors of #Nepal’s civil war.
Politicized justice processes have failed them — it's time for truth-seeking centring their voices.
Our #VictimParticipation guidelines offer a way forward:🔗https://t.co/x3tG4kgcUB
If #justice responses are disconnected from the lived realities and concerns of victims, they're much less likely to succeed.

9️⃣Do no harm: Identify and address risks victims face
Always carry out thorough risk assessments and put in place measures, including anonymity and appropriate support, to protect victims’ physical and psychological well-being (#MHPSS).

8️⃣Communicate regularly and transparently in ways that will reach all victims
Design strategies to reach all victims. Communications should be two-way, so all victims can easily seek clarifications, further information & provide input.
