I believe he is for trans rights. But bc of his celeb status, this song may influence other non-LGBTQ folks to deadname and misgender trans folks.

@jskeley @SomeDadThoughts @hasanthehun As such an influential person, deadnaming and misgendering trans people in a song - even to just show how you’ve grown - might make others think its okay to do those same things. It’s great he’s trying, but as a trans person this missed the mark for me.
