We have fantastic news! What incepted as a mission to transform PE intervention has been substantiated by data!
We are thrilled to share that hashtag#AVENTUS, our novel hashtag#thrombectomy system, designed to simplify VTE treatment and unlock clinical efficiencies, delivered best-in-class pivotal IDE trial results.
The study met its primary safety and efficacy endpoints, demonstrating that AVENTUS significantly reduced RV/LV ratio and clot burden — with short catheter dwell time and zero device related MAEs. Blood was safely and seamlessly returned, resulting in zero blood transfusions. Patient outcomes also benefited, with substantial improvements in functional and quality-of-life measures, as well as brief ICU and hospital stays.

Congratulations to Dr. Kathir Subramanian and his dedicated team at HCA Florida Westside Hospital on successfully performing their first AVENTUS case.
This 61-year-old patient presented with bilateral pulmonary emboli, including a double saddle clot burden, with a history of brain bleed, DVT, and a previously diagnosed, untreated pulmonary embolism.
Using the AVENTUS Thrombectomy System, the team completed the intervention quickly with approximately 15 minutes of device time, including blood return.
Achieving this level of procedural efficiency during the first AVENTUS case highlights the intuitive workflow and physician-focused design of the system.
We’re proud to see AVENTUS in action as physicians continue to advance patient care with next-generation thrombectomy technology.

A massive pulmonary embolism in a 73-year-old patient with cancer, presenting after a syncopal episode with profound hemodynamic compromise.
The patient arrived hypotensive with a blood pressure of 70/48 mmHg, a heart rate of 128 bpm, and requiring a non-rebreather mask to maintain 92% oxygen saturation.
Using the AVENTUS Thrombectomy System, the procedure was completed in approximately 28 minutes, with a device time of approximately 14 minutes. Pulmonary artery pressures improved from 48/26 mmHg pre-procedure to 25/8 mmHg post-procedure, reflecting the immediate hemodynamic impact of treatment.
The pre- and post-procedure imaging, together with the extracted clot, tell the story of a significant thrombus burden successfully addressed during the intervention.
Cases like this continue to add to the growing real-world experience with the AVENTUS Thrombectomy System and demonstrate the value of efficient pulmonary embolism intervention in critically ill patients.

A significant pulmonary embolism treated with the AVENTUS Thrombectomy System.
In approximately 25 minutes of device time, substantial clot burden was extracted from both the right and left pulmonary arteries, with inline blood return throughout the procedure and approximately 8 minutes of fluoroscopy time.
The clinical response was immediate. The patient entered the procedure on a non-rebreather mask and left less than an hour later breathing room air with 100% oxygen saturation.
Pre- and post-procedure hemodynamics reflected the impact of treatment, with heart rate improving from 97 to 75 bpm and blood pressure increasing from 102/63 mmHg to 127/78 mmHg.
The procedure was completed with a clean back table, supporting an efficient workflow throughout the intervention.
Congratulations to Dr. Benjamin Kipper and his dedicated team on their first AVENTUS case. We appreciate their commitment to advancing pulmonary embolism care and look forward to following their continued experience with the AVENTUS Thrombectomy System.

A massive saddle pulmonary embolism.
Using the AVENTUS Thrombectomy System, two 14-inch clot burdens were removed in approximately 25 minutes, with blood filtered and returned to the patient through the system’s Inline Blood Return.
The extracted clot, along with the pre- and post-procedure imaging, highlights the significant thrombus burden addressed during the intervention.
Cases like this continue to demonstrate the growing real-world experience with the AVENTUS Thrombectomy System and its approach to clot removal and blood conservation during PE intervention.
Appreciation to Dr. Ronald Mora and the team at West Kendall Baptist Hospital for their commitment to advancing pulmonary embolism care.
