Remember when the @NBA slogan was “I love this game”? What happened to those days? Social media (among other things) has completely taken away from the love of the game. Instead of appreciating greatness happening every night, it’s popular to shit on it. If it’s not your team, it’s nothing but negativity. Every night.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m guilty of it too. Shit is exhausting though… For real. I’ve said it before, but I didn’t fully appreciate Kobe until his final season. Then, he was gone. That sucks. I regret that. I wish I could have just appreciated watching him play in his prime.
We need to collectively get back to just enjoying the game. You’re not going to find me shitting on anyone’s performances from now on, but rather just appreciating greatness when I see it. I’m making it my mission to bring back just loving the game. Whether it’s Jokic, Giannis, Tatum, anyone… (Except Horford lol)
Let’s bring back just loving the game of basketball.
Again, I may just be drinking the kool-aid, but I genuinely think this Sixers squad has the right role pieces in place…
Beverly, Oubre Jr, Batum… All guys that we’ve needed for years who are playing their roles to perfection to start the season.
Impossible to not be thrilled
Free agent G/F Kelly Oubre Jr., is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell ESPN. Oubre — who averaged 20 points for Charlotte last season — could get significant opportunity on the wing with the uncertainty around James Harden.
Incredible clip from new Sixers guard @patbev21 on his journey to making an NBA roster… Impossible to not respect
Cannot wait to see him in a Sixers uni this season. Dude was made to play in the city of Philadelphia

Allen Iverson rocking the custom D-Wade suit before he introduces him into the Hall of Fame
There really isn’t another OG who shows as much love for younger players like A.I.
It’s legitimately one of my favorite things. No need to do anything but show love. The Answer gets it.
Harden has been emphatic in wanting a trade, so the Sixers are setting up an uncomfortable situation to start camp. Ultimately, Philadelphia wouldn’t make a trade that they believed would compromise their title hopes.
Sixers and Harden agreed to seek a trade together after Harden picked up his player option for 2023-2024, but Philly believes it has a championship team with Harden and want to find a way to make it work with him this season, sources said.
ESPN Sources: The 76ers have ended trade talks on guard James Harden and plan to bring him back to training camp for start of the season. The Sixers had periodic offseason conversations with the Clippers — Harden’s desired destination — but no traction on a deal materialized.

Today of all days, I think we could all use a feel good story…
I wrote about my friends Joel & Tayla, her incredible story of strength, courage, positivity & love for Philadelphia 76ers (@sixers) basketball
Grab some tissue & give it a read ⬇️⬇️

For those not watching the Summer Sixers currently, Terquavion Smith is absolutely DOMINATING right now. Like, the definition of unconscious, lights out shooting. If there were any doubts about this dude getting a legit look for a roster spot, they should be laid to rest. SHEESH.
I’ve said it after every Sixers Summer League game so far…
Terquavion Smith should be a lock to make the roster.
He has absolutely earned the opportunity.
Terquavion Smith plays with a passion and energy that is really refreshing to see
The shot is legit and his ability to control his pace and stop and go when attacking with the ball is a real weapon
Just incredibly fun to watch play basketball
I know it’s been talked about a lot already, but I absolutely love that Nick Nurse is coaching this Sixers Summer League squad…
He’s been in the ear of a ref for missing a goaltending call for the last 5 minutes. Hasn’t sat down yet. Treating it as if it were a playoff game.
To the people complaining about the Sixers off-season so far…
We’re the only team to sign a guy with a Billboard Top-100 song named after him, so put that in your pipe & smoke it
