@TradesBaseball Never noticed that those two cards from two different brands obviously came from the same photo session. Wonder how the licensing to the photography worked?
@aceofcards89 “Care” might be overstating it, but there’s a need for an alternative to PSA. SGC was mine pre-acquisition and now their service has deteriorated. I was considering BGS for my next batch, but no longer.
I suppose it’s gotta be CGC now.
@aceofcards89 Yes-ish.
I often buy big cards on FC and then sell them on eBay. I typically sell for a bit more on eBay than I paid on FC including the buyer’s premium.
Beware, though, that I am bottom-fishing for statistically underperforming auctions on FC so there’s a selection bias.
@AllAcesCards@gemrate I just went into "post-grading processing" today! No "seller ready" folder has been created yet. Hopefully that comes tomorrow AM and I get my images tomorrow evening!
Of course any of the above needs to be profitable or at least enough fun to justify a small loss. Otherwise it all grinds to a halt.
Gonna pivot a bit to grading higher quality sealed product and purchasing graded slabs for competitive prices in the $50-200 range.
The market isn't supporting high dollar slabs right now, in baseball at least.
Texas' 3rd loss was also in an "extra" game against Ohio State. Say what you want, but Bama was 3 scores short of Georgia yesterday. Same as Texas. Bama lost to the OU team Texas beat.
My point is Bama and Texas didn't deserve opposite treatment. Bama got a do over for a bye. Texas wasn't even one of the first two out.
