Staff here: It is with great sadness that we must report that Stinky has crossed OTRB. He deteriorated rapidly last night and sadly did not make it to the Vets. He made it to his 16th birthday in Dec last year and was a proud #SuperSeniorCatsClub member 1/2
Thanks to a friendly neighbour who raised the alarm, our resident female swan was rescued yesterday by the heroic Harry and Dan.
She had been missing for 48 hours and her mate was looking dejected, so we looked everywhere for her round our lake - no sign.
Then out of the blue - Jo rang and said she was by a swan who looked like she was in trouble.
I couldn’t believe our luck - it was almost definitely our girl, and she’d got herself stuck in a low and narrow part of the towns river, with no room to take off.
So we hastily planned a rescue - called for help and along came Dan and Harry who brilliantly and very gently caught her - wrapped her in a towel (closest thing I had to hand!), and transported her back to our lake where she was reunited with her very relieved mate.
It was a special moment to see them back together again, and watch them doing their little head bobs at each other.
I went back up later to feed them - and she was ravenous, bless her. So her hubby watched over while she had a good feed, and then he had his dinner. He was unusually talkative to me - throwing his head back, honking and then bowing it and giving a deep purr at the end.
It was either a thank you, of he was ticking me off for man-handling his Mrs!
Either way it was adorable, and she is safely back where she belongs and hopefully a tad the wiser.
And totally unharmed!

Sometimes I look back to the time when I first arrived here and I didn't know anybody.
It didn't take long to realise that I'd chosen a good place to live.
The humans are friendly and give me lots of fuss, and food.
What more could I want?
Friends! An update on Catio News. There is a Favourite Spot in the Catio (left-hand corner) where you get the best view of the Garden. There was one shelf there to lay on. So Mum has tried to be creative and adapted an old pop-up greenhouse that has several shelves. Now more of us can lay in this Spot at the same time. I claimed the Top Shelf straight away. The Kittens did their usual, and were a bit suspicious of it to start with, although Ron tried it out soon after I did. We can watch Baby Dog from there! ❤️ please share ❤️ #catsofX
Friends! It’s the #EasterWeekend 🐣 and our decorations are up. I was concerned about whether they’d stay up, considering the way the Kittens treated the Christmas Tree, but… well, see for yourselves… you may be surprised! *Please Share*
#goodfridayblessings to you all, our gorgeous friends 🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛
Please help if you can 🧚♀️
I try to like every comment and certainly try to answer every question, plus messages and emails asking for help and advice for lots of wildlife related topics.
The social media plus the shop is a full time job, so when I ask for donations or ask you to buy products from our online shop it not only helps us look after Mr Lumpy & Friends, support other wildlife organisations, including various badger vaccination programmes around the country, it also helps with all of the above.
Any donations or purchases from our online shop will help to keep the page going with current adventures and information whilst hopefully making you smile.
Thank you everyone for your continued support without YOU we couldn’t do it 🐾🐾🦡🦊❤️

(Amanda) It was a busy time last week. First we remembered the sad day when Robert left us 3 years ago. Then the happy day 6 years ago when the allotments were saved.
Betty says that thinking about these things keeps the memories alive.
Is that true?
Friends! Baby Dog has been having a bit of a time of it with SofaGate, so I decided he needed some Quality Time with me - just the two of us - like in the Old Days. Mum popped the Kittens in the Catio, and we had a peaceful nap with Hamish and Ron the Mouse. It was Heavenly. We adore the Kittens, but self-care is important too ❤️❤️ #FridayFeeling
P.S. Our visibility on here reached an all-time low yesterday, which is very sad 😿 If you see this, please share it for us. Thank you xx
Public service announcement: In the UK this Sunday is Mother's Day AND the clocks go forward an hour. That means Mums are being cheated out of an hour of their special day, so best be extra nice.
We never knew which lessons Cilla like best, but one thing was for sure, she loved her Games & PE lessons.
Here’s a few pics of her at Gym club, sorry they aren’t very good quality but they’re action shots taken by little people!

Here’s a photo of Jupiter’s Great Red Spot, plus Ganymede, the largest moon in the solar system.
The craziest part? This photo was captured from my backyard. No space telescope needed!
