We're now officially starting the simulation for the integration of the core engine and the Hybrid Zone Market Maker!
I'll be pushing an update to the site soon with a LOT of updates including the new module monitors, system architecture, and much more.
This changelog is going to be the best one yet, there's been a lot added and updated.
We'll be watching this new integration sim very closely over the next 12-24 hours and hotfixing and refining in real-time. If all goes well, the Moonbeam engine comes back on in perpetuity with this new massive upgrade.
It will soon be intelligently managing liquidity and market-making for the Moonbeam token with applications for additional projects to integrate the Moonbeam engine into their token coming as well!

It's been a very busy day!
Tomorrow will be even busier, bigger and better as we approach the Moonbeam engine turning on once more, but this time with the Hybrid Zone Market Making module taking over neutral epochs.

Thousands of trades have been ran through the Hybrid Zone simulator over the past ~16h, all using real-time trade and dataflow from the Moonbeam token and each individual strategy running different scenarios, variables and trade logic to make their decisions autonomously; this simulation is a sandbox and does make any on-chain action currently.

Let's dive into why the engine is currently paused, what the Hybrid Zone is, what the Moonbeam flywheel is, etc to clear up some confusion!
The Moonbeam engine ran live on the Moonbeam token on Jan 1. after extensive stress-testing in the Moonbeam Simulator and produced incredible results: a 1.8x liquidity multiplier within 7 epochs.

After live usage of the engine on the Moonbeam token, one thing became incredibly apparent:
Although the engine with it's current logic performed valiantly and produced remarkable results, there was a major area of inefficiency: the neutral zone.
The Moonbeam engine's formulaic decision tree utilizes three different trigger zones:
Event A: Inject. This is designed to dampen sell pressure at critical moments when the token price is running above the baseline sigma bands + raise the established baseline/floor price.
Event B: Buyback. This is designed to alleviate sell pressure and activates when the token price is running below the baseline sigma bands + bring the price back within the sigma bands, therefore strengthening the baseline floor price rather than raising it.
Neutral: This zone is when the token is trading and oscillating within the dynamic baseline sigma bands which, with the current engine logic, results in no action being taken because no intervention is needed. The epochal fees generated through trading result(ed) were not used and instead added onto the next trigger event (A/B) to amplify it's effects.
We quickly realized we can upgrade the engine even more by creating a high-frequency trading and market making strategy that only begins during the neutral epochs: The Hybrid Zone.
The Hybrid Zone Market Making module is a market making sub-engine that conducts high-frequency (a lot) swaps in the neutral zone during neutral epochs in order to compound the previously-held fees during this sideway action in order to have a much greater effect on the next trigger event, bring volume to the chart, and protect the deviations that would have otherwise occurred (such as massive sells) without this module in place.
The Hybrid Zone Market Making module is a key component in the Moonbeam flywheel where creator fees are maximized, compounded and used intelligently via the decision tree to create asymmetric pressure on the chart (sells are incredibly damped, buys are amplified). Fees compounded via the Hybrid Zone module in neutral zones feed into larger trigger events to move the token price upward, bolster liquidity and establish a much higher baseline floor price.
We've been heavily testing and refining the trading strategies that the Hybrid Zone module will employ the past few days as you can tell by previous posts. It's imperative that this module runs efficiently as a standalone product and produces great results (which it has been!) prior to integration into the core Moonbeam engine.
With the Hybrid Zone individual simulations going well, we'll be integrating it into the engine simulator later today to monitor how both components (the core engine and the new Hybrid Zone Market Making module) work in tandem.
The full engine (with the Hybrid Zone integration) will go live again this weekend and this time it will work in perpetuity; we've built each of the systems to be modular so we can properly test and simulate additional future upgrades and additions to the engine in sandboxed environments without having to pause the engine.

The Hybrid Zone simulation ran overnight and produced better results than we could've expected.
The core strategy for the Hybrid Zone Market Making module, the adaptive (which is a dynamic strategy based on the aggressive and Monte Carlo-optimized), is a drawdown-resistant high-frequency swap strategy based on a wide array of parameters that compounds epochal fees during neutral zones in order to amplify trigger events (A/B).

We'll be getting this module integrated into the Moonbeam Simulator to run as part of the core engine today to replace the no-action neutral engine logic and monitor it, refine and fix it throughout the day.
If simulations go well today, the Hybrid Zone Market Making module will finally be fully integrated into the Moonbeam engine by end-of-day, and we once again run the Moonbeam engine on the Moonbeam token.
After live usage begins once again, projects will soon be able to integrate the Moonbeam into their token for it to autonomously market make and intelligently manage their liquidity.
