@SeanCFoley12@aTeske14@GinoHard_ To be clear I don’t think the PK attendant should be flamed. Just really unfortunate timing to go sliding into the unlatched door. But this definitely wouldn’t have been an injury if the door was closed the whole time.
@SeanCFoley12@aTeske14@GinoHard_ It’s a huge difference, if the door is closed, the outside of his shoulder hits the boards and he keeps sliding. Instead, the top of his shoulder hit the inside edge, stopping him instantly. Do you believe what you’re saying or do you not want to admit you were initially wrong?
Alumni of all 30 teams have now appeared in this game tonight.
Royals (Will Klein in 2024) held out to the 15th inning and Cubs (Brendon Little in 2022) until the 17th.
@c7meron@MLB Fair enough, you don't like it. I agree that baseball is more boring than the other major sports. At this point, I hope we get to position players pitching, we'd be seeing some hitting then.
Hot take, #WorldSeries tickets should have a sentence in the terms and conditions that says, "In the event of a tie at the end of the 9th inning, all doors will be locked. You may not leave until the completion of the game."
ORRRR better yet, keep a rough count of how many people have left and allow free entry to that number of people who want it. Stands would be full of the craziest fans getting to witness the end of an extra-innings World Series game.
@aceisnaughty@mattsx@danorlovsky7 Forward progress has nothing to do with this play because he went out of bounds. So yes, they could have challenged the it, but didn't because he obviously didn't get the 1st down.
@downsr30@big_business_ Yeah, there’s going to be some INSANE 30 for 30s/documentaries coming out in a decade or two. This is definitely just the tip of the iceberg.
@_ahbibis_@DeepDishHater@wynzmanz@pokimanelol This isn't some small office that sells paper, so this isn't a situation where a "grunt could easily do behind their superiors' back."
@_ahbibis_@DeepDishHater@wynzmanz@pokimanelol Let's play this out. Let's say your boss sends you an hour-long presentation you're expected to unveil at a company convention. But, you disagree with something in it, so you cancel the unveiling without speaking to them or the company. Is this what you think happened??
@elevenchars@StevieB_raps@joeyhawkeye@Beanpot69696@johnbreech That doesn’t mean the ball has to hit the ground for the defense to recover it. It means the returner needs to be given a “reasonable opportunity” to catch the muffed ball. Which in this case he did, he had a second chance to catch it. They messed up this call imo
