@nickmordinisgod @ciaranodeorain Yet since 2009 if you compare list of POW winners v Eclipse winners the Eclipse roster is a much much stronger selection of horses

@ciaranodeorain 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2025 were all proper deep races (2018 even more so had Masar not been scratched late)… the problem is it’s not guaranteed - when the cards don’t fall right you can get v shallow races… all in all I’m in favour of moving it and July meeting back

@ciaranodeorain Yes another week would help, but whilst this years isn’t going to be deep last year was 5/6 of field won a G1 in the preceding 6 months of racing and the other having gone off fav in the derby… so maybe just circumstances this year?

@KeitonGRacing @lq5689 @anthony_ke364 Goodwood is a sharp track, downhill, bend that favours acceleration types, Gstaad is relatively low frequency long stride horse so yes for Goodwood I would go BE of that pair, but I’ll actually have the 5-1 Opera Ballo.
