@Indusland_ Before traveling, when I hadn't left Pakistan, I used to think Pakistani and Indian cuisine was similar. Then I actually tried Indian food and realized how much better our food was.
@Concern70732755 Like all other countries, Canada’s geography and geology determines its unique energy mix. Why should we use fossil fuel if we have access to hydro? Why use solar in parts of Canada where the sky is cloudy most of the year?
@JpharmsC@TiffMoodNukes 3 problems with manufacturing in the US:
1. Owners don't want to pay higher wages because it cuts into their profits.
2. Workers don't want to work because its hard, pays less, and requires skills they don't want to learn
3. Consumers don't want to pay more
What's the solution?
@MarcNixon24 He did not say that. He said the relationship Canada used to have with the US is over. You don't have to be too smart to get what he meant. Apparently it went over your head. And it was the US that has declared a trade war on Canada.
@anmirza@Hanii_tales Unfortunately this also means that IK is a man before his time. Pakistanis are not ready for him. We need social and moral reform at the grassroots level before it can turn into a political movement. Someone has to do that.
Aleema Khan waits silently on the roadside, denied a meeting with her brother. It’s been a month since last family visit. Her grief is unimaginable.
Meanwhile those who built their careers on Imran Khan’s name stay silent. Normalising this isn’t just cruelty, it’s complicity.
@DahliaKurtz You took away their homeland. They ended up scattered all over the world, including Canada. What do you want them to do? Stop existing or stop being who they are? That's either a genocide or cultural genocide. Either way, you're the monster.
@_uswahh_ Generally speaking, in the long term, marriage is good for you. It may not appear to be that way when you're young. But things change. You won't remain the same, your parents won't always be around, etc. Unfortunately, we all have a ticking clock. So you can't wait too long.
