Thank you Jeff and to all our HRP officers who serve and protect everyday. You are appreciated, respected and valued.

Today is the official first day of fall. Fall brings night earlier, making our streets dark in the evening. Let’s always be extra alert at crosswalks and stay mindful of all road users. Pedestrians can wear bright clothing and motorists should always avoid distractions. 🚔🍂
This girl had a busy nightshift. PSD Casey tracked and located a male with outstanding Warrants in Dartmouth last night. Great team work by East Patrol members, Quick Response Unit and the K9 team. Atta girl Casey!!

Even on this cloudy summer morning it is to warm to leave your pet in a vehicle unattended. This past weekend police answered a large number of calls from concerned citizens because pets were being left in vehicles alone and hot.
Kelly Joy brought here daughter Gabrielle and her friend Ava to East Division today to present thank you cards and cookies (the girls baked ) to the police officers in appreciation of the work police officers do.
Thank You girls, it means a lot to us !!!
Visitors from all over the world come to our community to celebrate the Halifax Pride Festival. Police would like to remind citizens and visitors to be prepared for hot summer weather and be aware of traffic closures on July 20 for the Pride Parade. Happy Pride! 🌈
We remember Cst. Charles R. Fulton who was shot while trying to apprehend a suspect on July 14, 1924, at the age of 28. Cst. Fulton was Halifax Police Department's first police officer killed in the line of duty. We thank him for his service and for making the ultimate sacrifice.
Stay safe this summer when travelling on vacation. Try to make your property appear as though someone is home. Use a light timer and have a trusted friend collect newspapers, mail and flyers. ⛺️🌞🚔❤️⏲️📬🗞️🏡
It’s a scorcher today! Please don’t leave your pets unattended in a vehicle on warm days. Over the last 2 weeks police have responded to 16 calls from concerned citizens regarding pets left unattended in vehicles.
