One of the biggest mindset shifts I EVER had was realizing discipline is not punishment.
Discipline is protecting your future from your temporary moods.
Pro tip: When you step outside, especially around other people, carry yourself like you already are who you’re becoming. Even if deep down you don’t fully believe it yet, your energy speaks before your words do
People don’t just see your clothes, your face, or your confidence they feel the signal you’re broadcasting from within
So if you move like you’re unsure, people pick up on that. But if you move like you respect yourself, trust yourself, and know your own worth, others start responding to that version of you too
What you believe about yourself becomes the atmosphere around you. And people feel the atmosphere before they understand the person
The internet unintentionally revealed something important about human psychology:
Many people would rather feel validated than transformed.
Transformation is uncomfortable because it demands responsibility.
Validation is pleasurable because it removes pressure temporarily.
This is why content that confirms existing beliefs spreads wide easily while content demanding self examination often creates resistance.
People protect identities before they protect truth.
Once you understand this, human behavior becomes much easier to interpret.
Most arguments are not intellectual conflicts.
They are emotional defense mechanisms protecting a persons current self concept.
It's really easy to take your life and the people in it for granted.
No matter how hard you work, in a snap it can all be gone.
Focus on climbing the mountain. But don't get so obsessed you forget to enjoy what you have. One snap is all it takes.
The fewer things you focus on, the more violently you can progress, scale, and evolve in them.
Most people have their fingers in way too many pies, and as a result, end up being mediocre in all of them.
Imagine how much better off you’d be if you instead chose ONE, or maximum, TWO, things to devote your all toward?
Nobody put it better than Steve Jobs:
“Focus is not about saying yes to the thing you have to focus on.
Focus means saying no to the 100 other good ideas.”
KEY WORD: 100 other GOOD ideas
Not shit ones. GOOD ones.
Wisdom is knowing which opportunities are worth pursuing to the exclusion of the rest.
Be yourself, they’ll judge you anyways. You could be rich they would judge, you could be poor and they will find another reason to judge. Just be you. And you will naturally find your people in this galaxy. My Dragons.
People's "high status" does not equal them having high empathy or high alignment for your specific journey.
Beware of getting talked into something that only benefits them.
