Hayley Arceneaux went from St. Jude patient to physician assistant to astronaut and now her Inspiration4 spacesuit is here at St. Jude for all to enjoy. 🚀
The suit that soared 366 miles above Earth and helped raise $250M for childhood cancer research is even cooler in person. ✨
Back @StJude for the unveiling of @ArceneauxHayley’s spacesuit. Like Hayley, this suit is a beacon of hope and inspiration for all patients until the miserable battle against childhood cancer ends forever and the vision of Danny Thomas and St. Jude is fulfilled. Wishing Godspeed to the researchers and medical professionals at St. Jude and their lifesaving work.
The Inspiration4 crew returned to Earth four years ago today, completing their three-day mission to space — but the mission lives on forever through the Inspiration4 Advanced Research Center and @StJude’s effort to ensure no child dies in the dawn of life.
Four years after Inspiration4 launched to orbit and one year after Polaris Dawn returned to Earth, the effort to support @StJude’s life-changing mission continues, uniting the wonder of space exploration with the power of raising funds and awareness here on Earth!
September 15th, 2021 & 2024--when one mission began another ended. The greatest privilege of my life has been seeing Earth alongside my @inspiration4x & @PolarisProgram crews. Very grateful to the thousands of brilliant minds-especially @SpaceX working to open the last frontier.
Today my @SpaceX@inspiration4x spacesuit went on display in the Smithsonian @airandspace museum. Nothing but gratitude for everyone who made this into a reality starting with my commander @rookisaacman! Thank you to @MikeMongo for this beautiful article.🙏🏽👩🏾🚀🚀🌎
I am honored and grateful to see my @inspiration4x space suit displayed @ExploreSpaceKSC. Thank you for celebrating our mission and the spirit of exploration.
The Space Omics and Medical Atlas (SOMA) package, published across Nature Portfolio journals, provides insights into how spaceflight affects human biology. It represents the largest compendium of data for aerospace medicine and space biology to date. https://t.co/CEGiszNJuw
Thank you to everyone who followed and supported the Inspiration4 mission, launched two years ago today ✨
The journey to end childhood cancer in partnership with @StJude continues alongside the upcoming @PolarisProgram missions 🚀
It has been two years since the launch of @inspiration4x and I will never stop being grateful for the incredible opportunity. Thank you to @SpaceX and all those that contributed and supported the mission & @StJude 🙏🚀
Last week, the Inspiration4 crew visited NASA’s Johnson Space Center with the Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) to learn more about the health research conducted during their mission.
Special thanks to @NASA_Johnson and @BCMSpaceHealth!
From strangers to friends to astronauts in just six months, Jared, Hayley, Sian, and Chris shared incredible adventures this year — on mountains, in the air, and finally, in space.
All while raising over $240 million for @StJude.
From our entire Inspiration4 team: Thank you!
One of our favorite moments of the year was the call that happened between St. Jude patients and the Inspiration4 astronauts who were in space at the time. Check out this clip of Hayley Arceneaux showing the patients her view of Earth from space!
