There's nothing rude meant by it in most cases (even if said in too cavalier a manner). Telling them to recheck, isnt mesnt to dissuade. Though certainly there is more help to give after.

Its just telling them the best advise for the game—in the case they didn't read or didn't read well. Take the time to read the passives, status effects, skill descriptions, and more. Make sure you understand.
