Delhi Police SIs: Group C Despite Same Pay as Group B CAPF SIs

A Sub-Inspector is a police officer, not a clerk. Then why is Delhi Police still treating its SIs like one?

Same exam. Same pay scale. Same rank yet CAPF SIs are Group B while Delhi Police SIs remain stuck in Group C.

What explains this glaring disparity?

Years of inaction by PHQ have left Delhi Police SIs with a classification that does not reflect their responsibilities, status or supervisory role.

🚨Clarification on Viral Claim against ASI Virender, Delhi Police🚨

On 13.09.2025 around 9:30 AM, a PCR call was received about illicit liquor sale. Police team reached the spot and seized 20 quarters and 20 bottles of liquor from the shops. Later, some members of the North-East community gathered at the police station, asking for strict action against the ASI.

Senior officers including DCP/SED and ACP Lajpat Nagar reached the spot on seeing the gravity of the situation, pacified it and assured a fair and transparent enquiry on the same. Appropriate disciplinary action has already been taken against the police personnel and he has been transferred to District Line with immdiate effect. Further detailed enquiry into this incident is being done by PG cell of South East District.

Law will take its course and justice will be ensured. Public is requested to avoid sharing unverified claims.

The viral claim against ASI Virender is misleading

🛎️📢On 13.09.2025 at around 9:30 AM a PCR call was received regarding sale of illicit liquor/consumption by some individuals and the same was marked to ASI Virender for necesaary action.

◼️Thereafter the police staff reached the spot and they seized 20 quarters and 20 bottles of illicit liquor from the said shops.

◼️Thereafter approximatly 2 hours later a Subsequent PCR call was received in the police station by a woman against ASI Virender, apparently to pressurize him not to take legal action on the previous PCR Calls.

◼️ Thereafter North-east community members gathere at the Police Station demanding immediate action against the ASI.

◼️Seeing the gravity of the situation DCP/SED and ACP Lajpat Nagar reached the spot and pacified the north east crowd.
The crowd was assured of fair and transparent enquiry into the incident and appropriate disciplinary action.

◼️Soon after this, appropriate disciplinary action was taken against the police personnel and he was transferred to district line with immediate effect.

Further detailed enquiry into this incident is being done by PG cell of South East District.

We appeal: kindly avoid sharing unverified claims. Law will take its fair course.
