If you have some technical issue with InstantWP - don't forget the wiki and FAQ at https://t.co/CtNxCtjPDf There is a lot of great tips and tricks up there!
@rajeev88in Hi RB - you just need to install the plugin at https://t.co/NmWjHFzD2J and then use the details listed on page 18 of the User Guide. It should work fine.
@vinodhdavid Nice one Vinodh! Yes it is packed into the VM but can be accessed via SFTP, port 10022 with username/password iwp/iwp. Let me know if I can help - you can email support (at) https://t.co/vuCbvyOvQo for the most reliable response.
@nicksmith This is not exactly the same issue as it is Ubuntu and not Alpine Linux (IWP uses this) but it will illustrate the point: https://t.co/6ICiXkfzIH
@nicksmith You probably have a zombie apache process still in the background, maybe after choking on one of those big files? Hopefully that workaround in enough. You should look in the apache logs too to see what happened.
@nicksmith And actually 4GB is the upper limit of what a 32-bit application can handle. It is probably loading everything up to the last meg it can load an then dying :( Try removing the biggest fattest files...
@nicksmith You may just be pushing the limits of what the VM can load? Pump up the RAM to what you can afford also. Also, just try a version with only the theme (no DB contents if you can). Knock out each change until you find the culprit.
@nicksmith I wonder if it is choking on loading something particularly massive? Take advantage of IWP portability and make a copy. Do some surgery on the copy and remove the uploads folder. See if that works...
@rmelogli Hello @rmelogli - you should be able to see it, it should be there! See the attached image where I use 'ls -la' via ssh. Try logging in as root/root. In general it should not matter anyway, you only lose permalinks without it. You can always create it again..
@oscarbenidorm Sorry to hear that Oscar - it is useful feedback. But InstantWP v5 is running on about 20,000 Windows installations without issue. I would be happy to help you or perhaps one of the alternatives such as uwamp may be a better fit for your needs.
