@SonicLorepost Honestly, I've just headcanoned that Sonic fixed the Moon with Chaos Control, due to the sheer tidal chaos the damage would cause if left alone, and that's why he's not around to catch Shadow as he falls at the end of Sonic Adventure 2.
With that Silver the Hedgehog fangame in collective development, I feel like I should bring this back up so it might get included in the process, with it being a cool detail of his character lost since 2006.
@QKora01 Funny thing, it's actually something that happens in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
When Silver's using his powers, his quills flare out and his bangles open. When he's not, his quills lay down and the bangles close.
@matthughson Quick check, apparently it's the other way around, PAL is 240 and NTSC is 224: 240 is maintained internally throughout, though.

@matthughson Thank you for clarifying, I was just making sure: then the higher resolution and colour quality would make me go for the PAL version for sure.
Shame most companies just slapped black bars to maintain the 480 resolution and called it a conversion back in the day.
@matthughson ... the Phase Alternating Lines give better colour quality compared to the NTSC's style.
Honestly, the only downside was most things were developed with the NTSC version in mind, and not ported correctly: when it is, the PAL version is the better version.
@matthughson I assume you mean the PAL version has been clocked to correctly run on 50fps instead of the slowed version of 60fps running on 50 frames like most lazy conversions, the PAL version would have higher resolution at 720 x 576 pxls, versus the NTSC standard of 720 x 480 pxls, plus...
@AmourPositivity This and the Turtlebro video covering the Pokémon Z beta's Mega Bulbasaur and Charmander has me thinking Bond Evolution was going to be a universal pseudo-Mega thing, where high Pokémon Amie bonds would see Pokémon echo your character's styles and get a stat boost.
Are you a Sonic fan with ideas that you wish could be explored in the actual series? Games, stories, rewrites, gameplay, aesthetics, design, music... you name it!
DM us your pitch and we'll share it (anonimously, if you want) with the wider fanbase! (You can attach images) ✍️💭
@archiesonicwrld Sonic Runners explains Knuckles moves the Master Emerald to a temple surrounded by lava, suggesting the Hidden Palace is still in use.

Of course, Sonic Forces' tie-in comics show him just leaving it there in the open when he leaves with Silver, so...
Fun fact: According to Sonic Runners, Knuckles hides the Master Emerald in a hidden temple surrounded by lava, which would explain why Knuckles leaves the Master Emerald unattended and embarks on adventures with Sonic in many games.
@DBlueshi They couldn't translate the lighting over, I think it was something about the Dreamcast lighting being palette based and the GameCube not liking it. Hang on, there was a blog about it...

@QKora01 There was a thing in Sonic the Comic long ago on how to draw Sonic: you use his eyes to map out his ears. Here's the actual image, though obviously it's more towards the Classic look, the ear thing actually does help. I also noted on an official how to draw how the spines go:
When I say "My headcanon is that Sonic came out of nowhere" I think that MotherEarth one day said "omg, I'll create a lil blue fast hedgehog" and Sonic appeared.
