Companion Calls offers people living with dementia comfort during their loneliest times. Launched in the pandemic, this service offers a regular telephone call with a friendly volunteer. Four years on, it thrives as a permanent service thanks to the @C19SupportFund.

For many, Christmas is full of joy; yet, for people affected by dementia, it can be a lonely time of the year. Thanks to the @C19SupportFund , Companion Call Officers like Catherine are tackling this isolation, offering comfort and companionship over the holiday season.
Dementia can be an isolating condition.
But thanks to the @C19SupportFund, over 1,300 people in the last year were matched to a friendly volunteer Companion Caller, offering much-needed friendship and social interaction through their hardest and loneliest times.
