Sorry to hear about this.
This is exactly why having a trusted advisor is important. Health insurance is not just about buying a policyโit's about having someone who can coordinate, follow up, and support you when things go wrong.
If you do not have an advisor to assist you during such situations, feel free to DM us. We'll be happy to guide and help wherever possible.
Hope your issue gets resolved soon.
Sorry to hear about this.
This is also a reminder that a health insurance policy should ideally be purchased through a trusted advisor and not just as an online transaction.
A good advisor doesn't just help you buy a policyโthey assist with renewals, resolve technical issues, coordinate with the insurer, and stand by you when you need support the most.
If you currently do not have a trusted advisor to assist you with such situations, feel free to DM us. We will be happy to guide and support you throughout the process.
Hope your renewal issue gets resolved at the earliest.
Sorry to hear that. This is extremely stressful and frustrating for the family.
This is precisely why a health insurance policy should always be purchased through a trusted advisor and not treated as a one-time transaction.
During emergencies, having someone to follow up, escalate matters, and guide you through the claim process can make a significant difference.
If you currently do not have an advisor to support you during such situations, feel free to DM us. We will be happy to assist and guide you to the best of our abilities.
Wishing the patient a speedy recovery and hoping this issue gets resolved at the earliest.
@wankhede_ash
Yes, absolutely. A person aged 75 years can definitely opt for the policy, provided they meet the insurer's eligibility and underwriting requirements. Depending on the case, certain medical tests may or may not be required before issuance.
@honestaxpayer1
Sorry to hear about your policy being cancelled.
If the issue is not resolved and you would like assistance with a fresh policy, I would be happy to help you arrange a new cover for either 3 years or 5 years, as per your preference.
Please feel free to reach out if you need any assistance. I would be glad to help in any way I can. There is absolutely no sales obligation from my sideโmy intention is simply to ensure that you have the coverage you need.
@ICICILombard Paying โน15,000-20,000 out-of-pocket for "non-medical" hospital charges every time you get admitted? Claim Protector fixes that! DM me "CLAIM" and I'll help you select best policy as per your needs.

5 @ICICILombard Riders That Will Make You Rethink Your Health Insurance
If you're hospitalized for 3+ days, ICICI Lombard pays โน1,000/day (max 10 days) for a family member's stay nearby.
Example: Mr. Sharma from Delhi gets hospitalized for 7 days. His wife stays nearby for โน800/night. ICICI Lombard covers the entire โน5,600! Small thing, big relief for families .
Covers non-medical expenses that standard policies reject - the "IRDAI list of non-payable items" becomes payable!
Example: Ms. Patel's โน2L claim includes โน15,000 for items like food tray, sanitizers, gloves charges, attendants, toiletries. Without Claim Protector? DENIED. With it? FULLY PAID.
One claim during lifetime gets UNLIMITED coverage beyond your sum insured! One chance, unlimited protection .
Example: Mr. Kumar has โน15L policy. Cardiac surgery costs โน25L. Infinite Care activates - entire โน25L covered! The catch? You get this "nuclear option" only ONCE, so use it wisely!
Elevate base covers Single Private AC room. This rider lets you:
UPGRADE to Luxury Suite
DOWNGRADE to Twin-sharing (lower premium)
Example: You opted for Twin-sharing to save premium. But during emergency, only Private Room available. You pay the difference as "ratable proportion" of all medical bills. Sometimes downgrading isn't cost-effective!
This is the GAME CHANGER! ๐
โข 100% of sum insured added as cumulative bonus EVERY YEAR
โข NO reduction even if you make claims!
โข Unlimited accrual - grows infinitely!
Example: โน15L policy in Year 1 โ โน30L in Year 2 โ โน45L in Year 3... even if you claim every year! After 5 years = โน90L coverage at โน15L premium. That's the power of compounding in insurance!

@HDFCERGOGIC@Asan_research People often understand the value of health insurance only when they need to make a claim.
In your opinion, what's the biggest reason people delay buying adequate health insurance?
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to @HDFCERGOGIC for this Certificate of Recognition and for appreciating my efforts as the Zone Champion in the Fresh Premium category for May 2026.
A special thank you to @Asan_research for his consistent guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout this journey.

Sir, main bhi ek customer hi hoon. Main insurance companies ka koi wakeel ya spokesperson nahi hoon.
Main bas apni understanding share kar raha tha. Isiliye maine pehli line mein hi likha tha "from my limited understanding" aur last mein bhi mention kiya tha "I might be wrong."
Jahan tak "gyaan pelne" ki baat hai, agar main khud hi keh raha hoon ki meri understanding limited hai, toh phir gyaan dene ka sawaal hi nahi uthta.
Aur maine kabhi yeh nahi kaha ki customer ko insurance ki technicalities samajhni chahiye. In fact, main toh khud maanta hoon ki patient insurance isliye leta hai taaki emergency ke time financial stress kam ho, na ki claim processing ke technical nuances samajhne ke liye.
Main toh sirf yeh samajhne ki koshish kar raha tha ki aakhir system mein gap kahan hai.
Agar meri understanding galat hai, toh main khushi se seekhne ke liye tayyar hoon.
The G7 was created to discuss some of the world's most serious challengesโeconomic stability, inflation, trade, energy security, geopolitical risks, and global cooperation.
Meanwhile, back home, millions are dealing with rising living costs, expensive healthcare, stagnant wages, and shrinking purchasing power.
Nothing wrong with diplomatic camaraderie. But citizens also expect leaders to return with tangible outcomes, not just viral photo moments.
For the average taxpayer, the question is simple:
Will these meetings make life more affordable, create better jobs, reduce inflation, or improve living standards?
Because while social media celebrates the optics, ordinary people are still waiting for the economics.
@ankit_investing@grok This is a positive step towards rational use of medicines and reducing self-medication risks.
Prescription-based access to syrups will help ensure proper diagnosis, correct dosage, and reduce misuseโespecially in children and common cold medications.
Sir, I think the core issue here is not approval vs settlementโitโs the timing mismatch in how โavailable sum insuredโ is interpreted by the system.
If the sum insured was already exhausted, then ideally a โน5.5 lakh pre-auth should not have gone through. This tells that at the time of approval, the system was still reflecting unreconciled or delayed utilisation data, showing assumed availability rather than the actual remaining balance.
Pre-auth is meant to enable treatment based on expected eligibility, but the final financial reconciliation of the policy often happens later, after full utilisation is updated. Thatโs when exhaustion gets flagged, and the shortfall surfaces.
So the real gap is not denial or approvalโit is the lack of real-time sync between clinical authorisation and financial exhaustion tracking.
Until that alignment exists, this lag will continue to shift the burden to patients in high-value cases, despite prior approvals.
I might be wrong, doc!
But that's what I am assuming.
Crude goes up โ prices increase immediately.
Crude goes down โ โglobal factorsโ suddenly become complicated.
When crude oil was at $138, we were told high petrol prices are because of global markets.
Now crude is almost half at $80, but petrol is still above
At some point, the explanation stops making sense to the common taxpayer.
Global crude prices move fastโfuel prices in India move selectively.
What doesnโt seem to move at the same speed is the benefit being passed on to consumers.
Whether itโs taxation, pricing formula, or policy design, the end result is the same:
the burden rarely reduces in the same proportion when global prices fall.
Maybe the real discussion should be less about โglobal factorsโ and more about why relief doesnโt reach the last mile consumer.
Sorry to hear about your experience.
However, as a policyholder, you are absolutely right to expect clear and timely communication.
I hope the support team looks into this on priority and ensures all updates are properly shared with you in writing so there is full transparency.
This is also exactly why having a dedicated insurance advisor helps. When communication breaks down between insurer and customer, an advisor can step in, track updates, and ensure nothing is missed.
If you don't have a dedicated advisor and need any help reviewing your policy or communication trail, feel free to DM us. We'll be happy to assist you.
Hope this gets resolved soon.
