Mozart's birthday! But also - as mentioned previously - the b'day of my beloved childhood dog Dandy, a Dandie Dinmont Terrier. And Dandy's favourite piece was Mozart's piano sonata in C ('Facile') - coincidence? My sisters would play it, and he would howl his little heart out...

Felix Mendelssohn b otd 1809! Unquestionably (I think) the greatest teenage composer, he became a mature master, his works ever more profound, passionate. AND a great pianist, organist, conductor, entrepreneur, a fine artist, etc. Genius!
