The AI conversation is evolving.
Businesses spent the last two years talking about productivity. Increasingly, they're talking about governance, insurance, compliance, and accountability.
I don't think AI governance will be driven by regulators alone.
It's always rewarding to see the companies we support out there serving customers, growing their businesses, and contributing to the local economy.
We're proud to work with great organizations like All Metals Fabricating and appreciate the trust they place in our team.
One of the things we enjoy most about working with local businesses is seeing them out in the community.
This week, we spotted an All Metals Fabricating truck while sitting in traffic and had to snap a quick photo.
That's probably a sign the technology is maturing.
Our May newsletter covers the questions we're discussing with clients every day:

The AI conversation is changing.
A few months ago, everyone wanted to talk about what AI could do. Now we're talking a lot more about governance, security, insurance, compliance, and accountability.
Especially for legal, financial, healthcare, and regulated industries.
The rush to “save time” shouldn’t bypass security review.
Worth the read before clicking “approve” on the next AI tool:

We’re seeing a major increase in clients requesting approval for AI integrations into Microsoft 365.
The productivity benefits are real.
So are the risks.
Many AI tools can access email, documents, Teams chats, SharePoint, and other sensitive business information once approved.
That doesn’t automatically make them unsafe — but it DOES mean organizations need to evaluate:
• where data goes
• how it’s processed
• who can access it
• compliance implications
• vendor governance policies
AI governance may arrive through insurers, vendors and operational expectations long before formal regulation catches up.
For most businesses, the safer path is likely using AI already embedded into trusted enterprise platforms instead of disconnected public AI tools
Huge congratulations to our Client Manager, Suraya Smith, on this outstanding achievement.
Her commitment to growth, leadership, and delivering an exceptional client experience never goes unnoticed. Proud to have her on our team!

AI absolutely has environmental costs. That conversation matters.
But there is also growing evidence that AI is helping optimize power grids, improve logistics efficiency, strengthen renewable energy systems and support smarter infrastructure management.
Do you actually know what your business is doing wrong with AI right now?
AI is not just accelerating productivity. It is exposing operational gaps, unclear ownership and governance weaknesses many companies already had.

The OpenAI/TanStack incident is a reminder that AI is becoming deeply embedded into software pipelines, plugins and operational infrastructure.
AI governance is no longer just policy.
It’s becoming operational security.

Employees are already using AI across your business.
The question is whether leadership knows:
• Which tools are being used
• What data is entering them
• And where AI is influencing decisions
Shadow AI is becoming the next governance problem.

Cyber insurance forced businesses to take cybersecurity seriously.
AI governance is heading the same direction.
Carriers are not going to absorb unlimited risk tied to unmanaged AI use, data exposure and zero oversight.
This conversation is coming fast.
