Belief: We need a hypersonic missile-tracking satellite grid to track and disable nuclear weapons.
@Sam_Vecenie The writer of that (very inane) article seems to think that the WNBA controls social media. If anyone received online threats, all they had to do was simply report it to the FBI, etc. In the meantime, grow up and stop dragging the entire civil rights movement down the drain.
@UnderdogWNBA@_MalikATL I grew up during the 60s civil rights movement. I heard a lot of name-calling, but never "protected species"🤣. In my opinion, every player in the WNBA should be a protected species, because they are all special. In other words, dear sisters please make up and give it a rest!
These days, SCOTUS continually contradicts itself from one ruling to the next. All while having its cake and eating it as well (i.e., becoming the only 'Teflon' component of government).

Next time you paint/repaint the pool (like the Reflecting Pool)...
🧴 Personal Safety Precautions
Wear Mandatory PPE: Specialized pool paints—such as epoxy or chlorinated rubber—emit strong, toxic fumes. Always wear a fitted organic vapor respirator mask, chemical-resistant safety goggles, and heavy-duty gloves. [3, 6, 7]
Ensure Proper Ventilation: Air circulation is often poor inside a deep pool shell. Use large industrial fans to constantly push fresh air down into the pool while you work. [3]
Handle Chemicals with Care: If you are acid-washing the concrete before painting, always pour acid into water - never water into acid - to prevent explosive splashing. Keep baking soda nearby to neutralize accidental acid spills. [2, 8, 9, 10, 11]
🛠️ Chemical Compatibility Precautions
Test Existing Paint: You cannot mix different types of pool paint. Epoxy will not stick to chlorinated rubber, and vice versa.
Perform the Acetone Test: Rub a rag soaked in acetone onto a small patch of the old paint for 30 seconds. If the paint gets sticky or dissolves, it is chlorinated rubber. If it is unaffected, it is epoxy. If the pool is unpainted, you can choose whichever type you prefer. [3, 12, 13, 14]
☀️ Environmental & Weather Precautions
Avoid Direct Sunlight: Never paint a pool in intense, midday sun. The heat will cause the surface layer of paint to dry instantly, trapping solvents underneath. This leads to severe bubbling, blistering, and early peeling. [3, 15]
Target Ideal Windows: Paint in the mid-to-late morning after the morning dew has completely evaporated. Ensure temperatures are strictly between 10°C (50°F) and 24°C–32°C (75°F–90°F) depending on the specific manufacturer guidelines. High humidity will also ruin adhesion. [3, 16, 17]
🧽 Surface Preparation & Curing Precautions
Achieve Absolute Dryness: Moisture trapped beneath the new coat is the number one cause of paint failure. Once the pool is drained, washed, and prepped, let the bare shell dry completely for 3 to 5 days before opening a paint can.
Clean and Etch: Scrub the walls with Tri-Sodium Phosphate (TSP) to strip away body oils and sunscreens, then apply a diluted muriatic acid wash to create a rough, sandpaper-like texture that the paint can grab onto.
Do Not Rush the Final Refill: "Touch dry" does not mean cured. You must let the finished paint cure completely untouched before filling it with water. This typically takes 3 to 5 days for acrylic paints and a strict 7 days for epoxy or chlorinated rubber paints. If it rains during this window, immediately sponge or leaf-blow the water out and add an extra day to the cure time. [2, 3, 16, 18, 19]

"If there was a shred of innocence…I would say so" - Stephen A. Smith delivers a blunt verdict on the Karmelo Anthony case https://t.co/ZuVNymsEdH
Okay; hopeful signs that someone believes in justice.
However, S.A.S. then goes on to show he doesn't understand what justice is...
"Don't expect him to be prosecuted. He was completely justified," Smith said. "She wasn't driving down the road, coming at you 90 miles an hour…Rather than get out the car, she wrongfully tried to drive off. And wrongfully disregarded a law enforcement official because that it was ICE is and as a result, lost her life because of it."
Trump ordered to restore slavery signs at national parks: "Censorship" https://t.co/AXNsu82cuC
“The Department will look at our appeal options while we celebrate UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House this weekend in honor of our nation’s 250th with the greatest president in the history of our country—President Donald J. Trump,” a spokesperson said in a statement to The New York Times...
- when you can be sure there was a purge from the top down
I came across these two stories while randomly browsing the news. Please read the text and captions. Am I the only person who is disturbed by the incongruence of justice?
Please read this statement from a CNN writer:
"It is raising doubts about whether democracy’s essential elements, like free, open expression; public speeches; and traditional campaigning can thrive under oppressive security..."
The writer was referring to the recent shooting incident.
I see fundamental errors committed by the writer.
1. The entire purpose of security, "oppressive" or otherwise, is to ensure that the president (or anyone, for that matter) can be secure in carrying out the duties of office, as well as the list of "essential elements" so mentioned. In this incident, security was the solution, not the problem.
2. Believing that security and democracy are inherently antagonistic to each other, as this writer infers, follows a long history of proponents who say that a safe and secure America means that we must give up some our freedoms in order to achieve such a thing. That proposal should be a non-starter. Where is the evidence to support this? In the mind of a sick, insane individual? Come on! We are much bigger than that!

The title of this news story is misleading. It suggests that the 2 events (seizing ships and ceasefire extension) are connected. There is no credible evidence that supports such a conclusion. There have been so many episodes in this war saga. Why does it make any sense to stick these 2 actions together as if they are cause-and-effect? Is this another instance of 'fake news', or what?
