Internet disruptions have been documented in #Cameroon since the morning of October 23, 2025.
CPJ, @Internet_SF, @accessnow, and over 25 other civil society actors expressed deep concern and called for transparency from authorities and telecommunications operators. #KeepItOn

"The Cameroonian government should publicly commit to not disrupting or restricting access to the Internet or communication platforms, especially during the period surrounding the official announcement of the presidential election results."
IODA data confirms MTN Cameroon suffered severe, repeated routing failures between 3-5 PM UTC on Oct 12, during the presidential elections. Voters could not reliably share critical election info, severely impacting transparency.
#NoTouchOurInternet#KeepItOn
11 days after the Presidential Election, MTN's internet has suffered a sustained, major collapse starting at 4:00AM today.
This is NOT just slow speeds. IODA data shows a BGP Collapse, where 75% of the network's global digital "road signs" have been withdrawn or blocked
#keepItOn
⚠️ Depuis le 23 octobre, le #Cameroun subit de fortes perturbations d’Internet, à la veille des résultats présidentiels.
📢 Nous appelons les autorités à la transparence & au rétablissement complet de l’accès.
