professional dreamer - left handed person trapped in body of right handed person - views my own & not my employer (unless when libelous, then views of my boss)
@niallmattimoe@AdamClery Great answer - although Alan wright & Jeff kenna do affect this
However inclusion of Tim flowers the most 442 GK of all time, is more than enough to carry the team
@AdamClery Shoot out between Kevin Philips or Tony Cottee
I’d also accept Steve Bruce, John Terry, Denis Irwin, Chris waddle and ray parlour
Andrei kanchelski or Peter begry too
@A1ex85_@OasisArchives Who feels love is one of the great lost songs for oasis - melody & lyrics all there but it just never came together
album Track selection was obviously poor when looking at that era demos & b-sides
instead of BHM NG version, I’d be more interested in SOTSOG NG 2025 version
@FootballCliches as a fan I fully understand how “he’s just one of ‘em, innit” is translated to mean a manager with masterful inspiration techniques or man management skills
Yet only today it’s dawned on me - how did this phrase start?
And when/who first uttered the phrase ?
@TaylorMod Rainbow kitten surprise
Not a made up name, I swear !!! - think early kings of Leon / mixed with folk - very well produced with loads of harmonies

@FootballCliches If he’s not too champions league - Sammy kuffour at CB
When checking his spelling on wiki stunned he’s only 5” 10”
Surely a “shorter or taller than you think he is IX” is a must next month
@scfcoli @FootballCliches Tremendous shout with Subotic
But Is van buyten too “I forgot he played in the premiership for a while IX”
Early adaptor to young English talent going abroad means subotic would have to guide Reece Oxford through his debut at the back as an eternally young 16 years old
@FootballCliches Also needs a Dutch player that arguably didn’t hit great heights at a European powerhouse and re-lit their star power in German
Eg Robben, huntelaar, van der vaart, van bommel
@FootballCliches needs an American in the IX as for last 20-30 years, the US team always had a random player at a high level in Germany
So options are Landon Donovan (possibly too pure loans IX), Julian Green (bonus points for 4 German teams), Claudio Reyna or the correct answer…
TOM DOOLEY
@FootballCliches Roque santi Cruz or Claudio Pizarro up top
Although grafite has to play too
So i propose a compromise of combining the 2 Bayern lads up top - so either Roque Pizarro or Claudio Santi Cruz
GK has to be jorg butt (1 game at benfica shouldn’t rule him out) or Weidenfeller
@tomhappens First thought after hearing he died was the lengthy standing ovation (like minutes long) after god only knows mid set at bord gais in 2017
Second thing was “Poor Tom !?!” …
@FootballCliches randomly inserted but perfectly used “cold rainy night in stoke” reference at 43:30 in an NFL podcast when discussing Miami Dolphins struggling away from sunny Miami

Certainly not #AllIreland#Hurling final day without a 70’s James Bond movie on Rte2 to follow it
Since moving the finals from September, this is the last GAA tradition left standing !!!
@FootballCliches My biggest tournament MHD is picking a defender purely on versatility - scrapes into squad to sit on bench on basis he plays RB,LB, maybe CB & wait for it... “could do a job in midfield”
WHEREAS YOU’D NEED EVERY MIDFIELDER IN SQUAD SUSPENDED IN ORDER FOR THEM TO START IN MID
@lukeaaronmoore I see parallels in last years NFL where so many starting QB’s got injured & the backups destroyed their teams chances - this off season, NFL teams are investing more in their backup QB position
Perhaps the “modern” CB is more specialised than we think to way teams defend & play
@lukeaaronmoore agree with bit on cohesive unit between CB & DM
But after recent seasons of Liverpool, Leeds & Man U going to utter shit when lost all their CB’s to injury (accept other issues in play eg trust in manager, injuries within squad, fatigue)
Will value of top CB’s now increase
