The IGD research group at NTNU specializes in the interpretation of all kinds of geophysical data. We also contribute to education at several institutions.
Are you interested in how #seismicsedimentology method can revealed more clearer depositional image?
Have a look our @theharishidayat recent publication at Marine and Petroleum Geology journal: https://t.co/SRXSUBiaOk
@dicky100285 participated at the meeting with Schlumberger on recent NTNU - Schlumberger collaboration. He presented an updated on the geocomputation group. #ntnu#geocomputation#industry#collaborations https://t.co/dZDxtfeHjx
Are you going to the #ncsexploration conference, May 21-22 at Scandic Fornebu Oslo? If yes, our group leader - Professor Ståle Emil Johansen will have very interesting presentation on Day 2. https://t.co/c7vfjqHsM7
We are happy to host Professor Jan De Jager guest lecture on the “Petroleum risk assessment for exploration prospects in the light of geophysical evidence”. Tusen takk #guestlecture#petroleum#riskassessment#geophysics
Finally, our motivated #seismicinterpretation students are presenting their project on a poster seminar. Thanks to @EquinorASA for providing the data and @Schlumberger for Geocomputing Lab here at the Department of Geoscience and Petroleum @NTNUnorway
Are you going to The EGU General Assembly 2019 next week? If yes, you can stop by and have a chat with our motivated student Wasif about his thesis research on seismic geomorphology at the EGU conference on Tuesday, 09 April 2019 from 14:00-15:45 (Hall X2 at board number X2.13)
Today @dicky100285 gave a lecture on the interpetation of submarine processes and products. The last part was interesting since He discussed how the seismic stratigraphy play an important role in the latest submarine plays-petroleum discovery by TOTAL E&P at offshore South Africa
Our TPG4130 Seismic Interpretation project is now working on the real seismic data from Barents Sea. Our students will produce a poster from their project as part of the final exam. Stay tuned !
This semester we have 5 MSc students that works on several topic ranging from tectonostratigraphy analysis to reservoir prediction. One abstract has accepted to be presented on the EGU conf. Stay tuned ! Picture from our bi-monthly group meeting #ntnu#seismicinterpretation
This semester, our group is running the Seismic Interpretation course for both MSc Petroleum Geoscience & Integrated Petroleum Geoscience Engineering programmed (https://t.co/xNU3Wx8G9S). This time, students works on the paper based exercise. Stay tuned !
