@KailuaPig my point wasn't that they're never helpful, I support bodily autonomy for everyone, but OP was misunderstanding the circumstances surrounding teens getting gynecomastia surgery
I am begging perisex trans people to understand that these types of surgeries are often exceptionally harmful to intersex youth, unlike with trans healthcare, intersex teens are pressured into these surgeries and it's assumed that they'd "obviously want the surgery"
@kinda_faggy_ngl dont fit within the sex binary and 2. intersex experience (which can look like many things ranging from feeling alienated to experiencing IGM)
*should also add that sex characteristics outside the binary need to be naturally occurring
@kinda_faggy_ngl so not many intersex variants are universally intersex (as in, everyone who experiences them is intersex) gynecomastia can be intersex if the person with it considers themself to be intersex. intersex is a social label that's defined by 1. sex characteristics that [cont]
many times parents make these decisions for their children.
it's so fucking exhausting to constantly see other trans people tweet stuff like this. please stop using intersex people as debate tools, especially when you don't even understand the issues we face
some people have a micropenis because they're intersex, some people have one because they take/used to take testosterone, either way they're great, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. they are morally neutral.
there is actually nothing wrong with having a micropenis
if you have a micropenis your body is perfect just the way it is. you should never feel like your body is undesirable or something that you should be ashamed of.
Happy Intersex Day of Solidarity!
Intersex Day of Remembrance, which is also called Intersex Day of Solidarity. Is observed annually on November 8, it is aimed at raising awareness on the issues and challenges faced by intersex people globally.

my biggest fear is that I won't be able to find a surgeon willing to do a vaginectomy on someone with unaltered PUGS because it would make the surgery more complicated, and I really, really don't want to go through genital surgery twice with two different surgeons
I'm not at the stage in my transition of getting any sort of bottom surgery yet but my state already has a huge shortage of doctors willing to do trans surgery and traveling would be hard to do so I'm really hoping I can find a surgeon willing to do both at the same time
