Let’s use this time to appreciate all who provide life-saving care at children’s hospitals nationwide. Especially holding all the kids, families and hospital staff at the children's hospital in our thoughts.
Feb. 13, Children's Minnesota celebrated 100 years of providing great pediatric care for kids and families. Feb. 14, 12 kids were taken to the children's hospital after gun violence at the Kansas City Chief’s Super Bowl Parade.

On our 100th anniversary, we're taking this opportunity to:
➡️Celebrate our legacy.
➡️Express gratitude to all the people who’ve made our work helping kids possible.
➡️Take stock of where we are now and where we’re headed.
➡️Learn about — and learn from — our history.
Turning 100 is a good thing. But it’s not the number that matters so much. It’s that a major milestone like this invites us to reflect on how far we’ve come, and where we need to go.

We don’t lump history and heritage months together into just one month. So why do we lump together people of different identities under just one term? Shorthand can shortchange. That’s why I avoid the term “BIPOC."

🎉In 2024, we’re celebrating our 100th birthday; celebrating the many people who have helped us help kids since 1924! Let’s take a moment to recall our roots and look ahead to our next century of delivering world-class care. https://t.co/k4qTO0xo2r

When we talk about resolving disparities, we have to take time to listen to people’s unique experiences, learn their needs and create solutions. In her first year as MN’s chief equity officer, @drsburrage has been doing a lot of listening and learning. https://t.co/Iq55hJIVVN
