The “peaceful and loyal” narrative gets questioned yet again. 🙏
Munawar Faruqui proudly spending time with Shahid Afridi has raised serious questions.
This is the same Shahid Afridi who has repeatedly made controversial statements against India from insulting the Indian Army to pushing a narrative on Kashmir that many Indians reject.
But the bigger question is: why is this surprising when Munawar Faruqui himself has a history of disrespecting Hindu sentiments?
The same person who mocked Hindu religious figures, faced legal action, and later portrayed himself as a victim of a lack of freedom in India is now openly associating with someone known for anti-India remarks.
The contrast is hard to ignore.
When others make religious remarks, they face public outrage, professional consequences, and even threats. But when Munawar Faruqui faced controversy, he went on to achieve fame, success, and massive opportunities in the same country he criticized.
India gave him a platform. India gave him success. Yet he chooses to stand with someone who has repeatedly attacked Indian sentiments.
For many Indians, this is not about friendship it is about priorities.
When personal identity comes before the nation, the hypocrisy becomes impossible to ignore. 🙏
@theskindoctor13 It's better to let bozos speak, if we start outcries and the state starts taking actions, it's not long that the state will start taking serious actions on any and every speech... It's more logical to be for free speech absolutist even if the guy is a bozo moron...
BMC roads nah fix karegi mayor ji. Magar comedy shows ban karne bade kaam honge. Performative morality at full display by Indian politicians as always. Society is full of babies. Ritu Tawde needs to come and save us from dangerous people like Pranit More.
It's honestly quite fun to watch him this relaxed after such a long intense career (yeah he's playing this WC but we don't see him game in - game out anymore not to mention he doesn't have any more pressure)...
Lionel Messi 🎙️
“Antonella doesn’t allow me to play with the ball with my boys inside the house. Life’s paradoxes, right? [laughs] I make a living from football, yet you can’t play with the ball indoors.”😂
He was such a baller, it's a shame he occupied spaces and played a game similar to Messi... And we obviously know that's a losing battle... I still believe if he never came to Barcelona he'd probably be on the Ballon D'or stage in the top 3...
It's better to be a free speech absolutist, Right now it's standup, next it'll be state getting butthurt over social media, it's a fing slippery slope It's better to let these people oust themselves and society decide what to do rather than shifting responsibility on the state...
People don't understand that with Messi it's more than just football... This... This is why players go to war with him... Not for him but with him cause he leads the line, and makes sure each and every member of the team is getting the glory they so damn well deserved...
No Swap. If he has to be offloaded then it should be straight cash and for that money we should get a backup ST(Ueda/Asllani) and either a great CB(Oumar Solet/Vuskovic) or a winger like Abde who's offensive output is close to Barcola with better dribbling and recoveries...
To put it mildly, Zlatan thought he is just a kid, should be just left off... Cause i promise you if this was let's say Evra, Zlatan would've humiliated that lad...
