Yes to all. Lost close family members due to death and other drama in recent years. Retired as soon as I could in my mid 50s in order to live the rest of my life on my own terms. Relationships lost and broken are tough. Adventures passed by are forever gone but new ones are ahead
I found a guy who goes around the US asking 70 to 100-year-olds their:
• Biggest Regrets
• Biggest Lessons
• Advice to their younger self
Oddly enough, most of their answers are the same…
Here are my top 8:
@atrupar He is taking exception for the use of the word probably in her statement. He would have preferred undeniably or unequivocally since he is all about facts.
@ESPNPR@NCAASoftball@ClearwaterInv@ESPNEvents@espn@espnW 4 teams can play there at one time. A lot of the games will have hundreds of available seats but you can't get tickets because "they are sold out". Not all 20 teams are playing there at the same time dumbasses. AVOID AVOID AVOID
@ESPNPR@NCAASoftball@ClearwaterInv@ESPNEvents@espn@espnW Avoid this tournament at all costs!!!. Getting tickets, talking to anyone if you have issues with tickets or parking-DISASTER. Then they limit how many tickets for the west fields to about enough fans for a fourth of the teams, they will not sell more. Even though only 1/2
@AlyssaLang@ascarborough@kevinnbrown Thought your crew did pretty well. However you need to pass along to ESPN that the mics around the dugouts are way too loud and interfere with the announcers sound. Nobody wants to hear that loud chanting the entire broadcast. Changes are needed. Obnoxious.
@bhofheimer_espn@megaronowitz Congrats on the cameras but the dugout microphones were obnoxious. Nobody wants to really hear any of that chatter but certainly don't want it competing or being louder than the announcers. Been that way all tournament long.
@sportsiren the broadcast is near impossible to watch with the sound on. The dugout mics are way too loud. Real fans don't want to hear the obnoxius dugout noise on a regular day but its overriding the announcers volume making this a miserable. Been that way all week.
@espn the women's CWS mic's around the dugouts are way too loud. Nobody wants to hear that at all but especially at a volume higher than the announcers. YOU are making this unwatchable with the sound on!!!!!!!
@bmac_22@NCAASoftball If I had purchased a ticket for a seat and drove 7 hrs to be there I certainly want the opportunity to stare at the back of people in front of me and not see the game at all without standing or looking around them. You might want to consider others while in public.
@espn you need to turn down the mics around the dugouts at the women's CWS. The only thing more obvious than attending a softball game in person with the immature chanting is now your broadcast featuring it.
@DonnellKolby@Lelandbosseigh@SoftballPortal Not trying to argue just provide info. In the NCAA softball rule book the entire ball has to be within the strike zone at the top of the zone. I have no idea why it's different but it is.
@_dannydavis Great job by the hitter but this is also elite coaching by knowing what hitter does well against certain type of pitches. White and EE are two of the best minds in softball. BTW....we want EE back.
@EddyFurniss There is a lot of distance between the front of the plate and the catchers mitt when the batter is in the back of the box. I can't be certain when trying to slow the vid down that I captured at front of plate but its close. Watching live I thought was low.
@markgLSU@JacobRudner@MizzouBaseball The way I understand the system, it is based upon the front edge of the plate. With the hitter in the back of the box and the catcher foot behind, a 90 mph sinking fastball can easily drop/tail 6-8" in that many feet of distance.
@CoachTinaSB So when old fastpitch players like me bitch and complain about the constant obnoxious chanting and singing from the dugouts have a point that valuable info can be gained by actually watching the game
@SoftballPortal@NCAA I love to see when a batter who is 6' and another is a little over 5' follow each other, one way or the other, and they get the same strike zone with no adjustment from the umpire. I sit close enough to see the looks on their faces...oooh buddy.
