Majority of Salafi scholars have criticised the very concept of national days, unlike their scholars regarding those bid'ah.

CELEBRATING NATIONAL DAY IS NOT SHIRK and has nothing to do with deen. However, it is unlawful. Shirk means associating partners with Allah, and that is what grave-worshippers do without any shame.

But Mawlid is clearly a bid‘ah because it is an invented practice introduced into matters of deen.
