Inundo means “overflow!” We believe it is possible for Africa to be a continent of overflow both within its borders and beyond. Agriculture is our passion.
#HurricaneIan hasn’t even made landfall yet and look at Pine Island. I hope everyone who was told to evacuate listened.
This is not gonna be good for Southwest Florida.
What is a first world country ? Where do the taxes go?
Since yesterday afternoon, more than 42,000 linemen have been waiting for the hurricane to pass to go and restore electricity in places heavily affected by Hurricane Ian.

There is such interest when we introduce a microgarden. Many disadvantaged people in urban settings cannot conceive of growing their own food. These transient individuals facing unstable housing situations were captivated by the possibilities.

Lahee Park was our first experience with installing microgardens in a communal area. We were amazed at the ownership each resident took of their small gardening space. We pray the skills learned will be multiplied. Microgardens are a new way to structure community gardens.
We loved working with the Lahee Park group of tent residents. In their time in COVID isolation they learned gardening skills. We pray for a new site where they can have the freedom to establish an urban garden.

The success of your garden depends on your mulch blanket. This soil cover keeps your soil moist, regulates soil temperature, conditions your soil, provides a place for insect life to safely live, prevents soil crusting and erosion.

Beetroot and spring onions are both root vegetables and we recommend them for the 3rd section of your Garden of Faithfulness. Your small garden will teach you so much about gardening and is easy to manage.

The enthusiasm of these young CAST interns was contagious. What a great future we have before us as young people step into their leadership roles. Pray for them as they finish their internships. May new opportunities open for them.

Gardens of Faithfulness encourage crop rotations. People learn on a small scale what they can replicate. Green onions are a great root vegetable to rotate with a leaf and a fruit veg. We want you to be successful so begin with proven performers.

Our challenge is to get people to start gardening. Small microgardens can be planted in both urban and rural areas. One small garden can feed a small family 4 different vegetables over a 4-6 month period. Let's teach people to grow rather than continuing with food handouts!
It is great practice to learn your correct plant spacing on your Garden of Faithfulness. It is only 1m by 2m and any mistakes can easily be corrected. Here we see spinach seedlings being planted every 20cm.

We are teaching Garden's of Faithfulness which are microgardens that are an easy way to begin your gardening journey. The CAST interns here learnt very quickly how to dig the furrows for our veg.

This small micro garden is called a garden of faithfulness. We start by fracturing the soil with a fork to give our vegetable roots spaces to grow. If we are faithful with a little we will see our opportunities grow.

We begin our garden installation in prayer. This is a meaningful time because we ask God to bring the increase to our efforts. We can plant a seed but only God can make it grow.
