Interesting take on calling it 'Land of the Accelerators' since Melayu means to 'speed up' (Melaju). Although I subscribe more to the theory it being Melayor/Melayar (seafaring). Bonus in Tagalog 'Malaya' means free. to be Malay is to sail the sea freely in high speed.
@illogically7 There’s a horror animation made by some Malaysian final year animation students that’s really worth a watch that features this monster (and others)! (CW for religious and supernatural themes, some gore (grayscale), depiction of a car accident) https://t.co/HFZzhUMJYa
yall Rocky's name isn't just Harmony... it's "out of the harmony that comes from happiness" which is most likely laughter. He's named after the sound of joyous laughter.
https://t.co/Ypyvgpl3nk has translations for rocky’s voice and explanations of how his language works in the film. I’m so insanely excited I think I’m going to cry
My bf and I also rented a car to go to the far out coast of Matsue! Here we visited Ebisu’s main shrine, Miho Shrine, which was located in a beautiful and peaceful fishing village, which ofc also appears in both the anime and manga (6/10)
Finding out that rocky named grace something equally simplistic and silly as ‘rocky’ in eridian is probably my favourite tidbit. grace relied on his main sense of sight and said you look like a rock. rocky who relies on sound went wow you’re kind of bad at music but that’s okay
