This guy copied my whole code line to line and uploaded in his GitHub, sharing as his own work in LinkedIn. When I called out he blocked me!
This is shameful, he works in a football club!
I always believed in the power of sharing, I never wanted credit but this crossed the line.
Just got my account back. Any messages you received from Dec 1–3 weren’t from me - my account was hacked.
On Dec 1, I woke up to an email saying my email address had been changed and I was logged out of all devices. Still no idea how it happened.
I’ve now lost my most recent tweets, including the LENS announcement which is a huge shame, but I’m just glad to have the account back.
As someone who’s fairly cyber-literate, this was a big surprise to me, never thought I’d be a victim of a cybercrime like this. And no, I didn’t click any dumb links or enter details on shady sites and always have 2FA enabled on everything.
To anyone else in this situation: spam X support requests (it’s awful ik, only through the website, no email). First two times they told me recovery was impossible. On the third request (with lots of proof showing it’s my account), they finally restored access to my email.
Lots of good football apps being released and I am myself using a few of them. Claude and other LLMs have accelerated this. But I see a severe lack of unique ideas being explored or worked upon using data nowadays. Efforts to replace FBref are saturating the space.
Day spent incredibly well w @alextalksall - really enjoy having these kind of conversations and great to connect with someone who thinks deeply about the game. Excited to see where his path takes him 🙌
had the pleasure of meeting, spending the day and watching Swansea vs Coventry with @InvertedQuant.
enjoyed some excellent company, talking about everything data in football and ofc about Manchester United.
Snoop Dogg, a gig on an industrial estate, Lee Trundle’s once-in-a-lifetime stadium tour, 20,000 towels, rubbing shoulders/wings with Cyril the Swan, the Death Row Records lounge for VVVIPs, & a brilliant Liam Cullen header.
Standard 48hrs in Swansea…

Another insightful conversation today morning with @InvertedQuant. Something we touched on, which I've previously mentioned here, is the quality of information and free resources available nowadays. There's so much to learn. It's just a matter of taking action, sharing your work, and of course, continuously learning.
Saurav is a great example of someone who did all of that. I'm sure he'll achieve bigger things professionally and personally. Wishing him the very best.
You can learn a lot on this platform, and I mean A LOT. But you need to choose wisely who you learn from. It’s obvious to say, but more often than not, follower counts mean absolutely nothing.
