Pretty tired of the "Buy this thing nobody asked for to (maybe) get the thing you want" approach from companies. What happened to just launching a new game?
@BeefR4t Absolutely not. I grew up with Skylanders and Activision should rather die than try to redo their toys to life gimmick for nostalgia. Foul shit.
@SmolAltNoko Replies are weirdly pissed and defensive claiming that Gen Z feels nothing for the classic Pixar films they likely grew up on and the tie in game for the movie that came out during their childhood. Weird way of thinking
@Splatarts_ This is very true, but both of these games had a weird niche and popular following beyond just being something of the time. People still talked about Lego Star Wars and BFBB for reasons beyond "aw man remember this from being a kid?". They also have Identity beyond "Tie-in Game"
Coworker that I'm p chill with made a joke that Aerosmith's "Dude looks like a lady" was ahead of its time and told me later that he wished I was around to hear it. He was real obtuse as to why I didn't quite enjoy that.
Happened again today as I walked out of a single stall restroom and some guy almost bumped into me. He turned to his friend as I walked away n said "was that a guy or a girl" n they laughed about it. Also some guy told my coworker that he "didn't agree with me, but he's cool"
I would like to reiterate that he's just kinda short and has a slightly higher pitch voice, big emphasis on slightly. No dye no piercings no nothing. Cool guy too.
A couple of my wokest (and more importantly, newest) coworkers have gone so far as to list a c¡s man among the small group of trans guys in my department. They just can't get it right lmao
