Entering in anticipation can work a lot better if you're watching a stock form a weekly base while the market is basing/correcting, then once the market turns up on a range expansion you can often enter that stock in anticipation it will breakout with the market. That is how I entered HPE on Aug 3.
@YouSupported@jfsrev I entered 8/3, saw the market turn, watched this as one of the potential leaders in the market, saw the weekly setup forming, more of a anticipation entry.
As a student of stock market history, this HPE chart is fascinating. It has so much potential. It could be one of the most explosive High tight flags we've seen. Given it only had one had 1 leg up on the weekly chart out of a 10 year base, I suspect it goes higher. $HPE
5 star breakout in the SPY. If it can follow through expect some big returns. On the other hand if it turns into a failed breakout this would mark a major top. Always be prepared for either outcome.
