Today, Y10 and Y11 children were invited to Bishop Auckland College to experience two subjects of their choosing.
Our students had a great day engaging in college life and learning more about the different post 16 pathways on offer.

Last night, two of our students were rewarded with a directors trip to watch Middlesbrough United.

On Friday, in our discreet reading lesson, KS3 responded to a text by analysing the vocabulary used to demonstrate the authorial purpose.

We are now off for the Easter holidays. School will re-open to children on Tuesday 9th April.

Earlier this week, children enjoyed a fantastic rewards trip to Hollywood Bowling, to celebrate their achievements and hard work.

Today we welcomed a very special visitor as part of the work we have been doing around local MPs.
Jacob Young, MP for Redcar, joined our staff and students for the morning and talked about the investment in the future of the town.

Our curriculum recognises the importance of Reading & giving students the opportunity to develop their skills.
Through the theme, Crime and Punishment, KS3 students have spent time looking at a range of texts to develop skills such as comprehension, inference & forming opinions

This week we are looking at local MPs and how they support the needs of their constituents.

A polite reminder that on Friday 15th March we are celebrating Red Nose Day.
Students (and staff) are encouraged to wear red, or wear their favourite pyjamas, and to bring a small donation into school for the Comic Relief Charity.
