@GRDecter There are still multiple Trillion dollar losses to assess from the carry trades. Probably best to wait and see what surfaces. This is only the tip of the iceberg!!

โญ Berkshire Hathaway ($BRK.B (Berkshire Hathaway Inc)) has a record $157 billion in cash. representing almost 45% of its total assets. This suggests that the company is patiently waiting for a market correction.
โญ Qualcomm ($QCOM (Qualcomm Inc)) has released a new world-leading chip set for mobile/phone computing. The chip set is faster and less energy-consuming than the latest Apple, Intel, and AMD chips. This is a positive development for Qualcomm, which is already undervalued.
โญ Maersk ($AMKBY), a global shipping giant, is cutting 10,000 jobs as the cargo boom ends. This is a cautionary sign of a global profit drop and stagnating profit margins/stock price pressure through 2024.
โญ WeWork ($WEWKQ (WeWork Inc)) has filed for bankruptcy. This is a reminder to avoid Office REITs, as there is still a glut of office vacancies due to work from home/hot desks continuing. Actionable insights I'll be taking: โ Maintain a cash holding of 20% in the portfolio to hedge against a market correction. โ Invest in Qualcomm ($QCOM), as it is undervalued and has a strong competitive position. โ Avoid Office REITs, as there is still a glut of office vacancies due to work from home/hot desks continuing.
๐๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ง๏ฟฝ๏ฟฝ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต๐๐: Berkshire Hathaway's large cash position suggests that CEO Warren Buffett is seeing some potential risks in the market. This is something that investors should keep in mind. Qualcomm's new chip set is a significant development. If the chip set is adopted by major smartphone manufacturers, it could give Qualcomm a significant competitive advantage. This will most likely lead to higher earnings and stock price appreciation for Qualcomm. Maersk's job cuts are a sign that the global shipping industry is facing headwinds. This is something that investors in shipping companies should be aware of. I'll be avoiding these type of stocks in 2024 as there is more pain to come. WeWork's bankruptcy is a reminder of the risks of investing in high-growth start ups.

$BRK.B : Warren Buffett's Buyback Trigger
Berkshire Hathaway B (BRK.B) is one of the most popular stocks among investors, and for good reason. The company has been led by Warren Buffett for over 50 years, and during that time, it has generated a remarkable investment track record.
One of the things that Buffett is known for is his willingness to repurchase Berkshire Hathaway stock when it is trading at a discount to its intrinsic value. Buffett believes that buying back stock when it is undervalued is a great way to return capital to shareholders and create value.
Historically, Buffett has tended to start buying back Berkshire Hathaway stock when the price-to-book (P/B) ratio falls below 1.30. The P/B ratio is a valuation metric that compares the market price of a stock to its book value per share. Book value per share is the net asset value of a company divided by the number of shares outstanding.
A P/B ratio of 1.30 means that the market is valuing Berkshire Hathaway stock at 1.30 times its book value per share. Buffett believes that this is a good price to buy back stock because it means that the company is trading at a discount to its intrinsic value.
