Today is the 82nd anniversary of D-Day – the Allied landings in Normandy, which significantly hastened the countdown to the Nazis' collapse in World War II. It is one of the most important moments of unity among the defenders of life in human history, and it was less than a year until the peoples’ aspiration for freedom and the hope of peace prevailed in May 1945. It happened then. We are working to make it happen again today.
And although yesterday in Petersburg another cynical order to continue killing was issued for the army trying to destroy our freedom, history has seen this before. The Nazis also had their own hopes after D-Day. But freedom still wins. And even in the darkest circumstances, people find ways to come together to protect life.
I thank all those who are now helping to protect the values that prevailed in World War II. I thank everyone who is defending life. Glory to Ukraine!
Generální tajemník NATO Rutte: „Ukrajina je v současné době natolik úspěšná, že Putin může uspořádat přehlídku 9. května pouze s povolením Zelenského.“
Participants of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum gather against the backdrop of a burning oil depot following the overnight drone attack.
The timing of the attack is particularly symbolic, as it comes during one of Russia’s most important political and economic gatherings
The entire city of Saint Petersburg, Russia, received a front row seat for the destruction of the local oil terminal. This includes also the attendees of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), which will start today.
You can tell that Moscow doesn't get hit very often because the citizens there are posting videos of strikes left and right. Great intel for Ukraine to see what hit and where.
It’s painful to realize that the moment the Russian missile hit, someone’s life stopped even though everything froze in place: furniture still standing, food still in the fridge, napkins left on the table…
and yet the people are gone. The children are gone. Killed by Russia.

Russian State TV fantasises about nuking us and turning Britain into a radioactive wasteland,
so yes, I do in fact believe Russia is an ''enemy'' of Britain
👀‼️ The Russians will never be able to break through the bunkers of the Ukrainian leadership: they are 95 meters underground, which were built back in the USSR in case of a "nuclear attack," - former SBU employee Ivan Stupak.
