damn, hope all the girls land on their feet
it's tragic but running a vtuber group does feel like the digital equivalent of running a restaurant
90% fail in the first year, and even the successful ones are constantly dancing on a knife's edge to stay afloat
@AskLapin true, but requiring login from a whitelisted country is a trivial cost for authentication but adds a lot of overhead to a brute force attack, (and blocking attempts from known public vpn IPs can increase that further)
not sure why it's not common yet
there really should be an option to geoblock logins to accounts; I am not now, nor will I ever be trying to log into any of my accounts from russia
2 factor works, thankfully, but it's annoying getting pings on it from obviously fraudulent logins
(yes I changed my passwords)
@EliseThornheart Wild, I knew about the cilantro gene but this is new
got to wonder how many other foods have a similar gene that makes them nasty to only certain people
@ThatNamons pretty sure we don't disagree, I'm quoting the tweet as evidence for my take
I'm saying it's an unpopular take due to the huge quantity of vtubers I've seen who basically subsist on doordashed restaurant orders
This might be the most unpopular take made by a vtuber:
You will be happier and healthier if you treat using doordash as a sin.
Restaurant food is usually unhealthy and overpriced, and the way the app encourages the treatment of its drivers as servants is bad for the soul
@RamnorH way too many people (including a lot of my moots I otherwise respect) insist they need doordash and that it's not a self-indulgent luxury, and cry poverty while spending horrific amounts on it
good advice is often unpopular
Being able to cook is a core life skill. It doesn't need to be fancy
If you must get restaurant food, at least go get it in person so you can thank the person who made it
The level of social hijacking we've been subjected to to make a burrito taxi seem normal is insane
there's a dude selling 8 acres of unimproved woods like 15 minutes from my office
this is both obviously a money pit and extremely tempting
the call of the wild is strong...
