Today, April 4th, is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. It is a day to raise awareness about landmines, explosive remnants of war, and the need for assistance in clearing them. Declared by the @UN General Assembly in 2005, it focuses on protecting civilians, supporting peace, and supporting victim rehabilitation.

Today is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. It is observed every year on 4 April. This day was designated to raise awareness of the dangers of land mines and explosive remnants of war, as well as to promote efforts to clear contaminated areas and assist victims.

The @Invictus_GR team works every day to reduce the risk of explosive hazards and allow people to reclaim their land and their lives. We cannot do it without your help. A huge thank you to Steve at @eodgear for donating a MED-ENG #EOD9 suit and helmet to our training facility in Kharkiv.

This suit will greatly enhance the kind of training we can provide to units and other demining organizations.

The IGR Ukraine team is wrapping up a busy March and preparing for an even busier April. We have received multiple requests for EOD training, explosive hazard awareness training for NGOs conducting humanitarian missions, and operator/maintenance training on commonly used detectors, including the Ceia CMD.
