@ellegist I never got why some vegan people want to eat the eggs of rescued hens so bad, you can always find egg eater neighbors to give the eggs to and then your rescue hens are helping rescue other hens! Compared to that eating them causes suffering. I guess this is utilitarianism

It’s not literally 100% true bc if you do a LOT of exercise you will burn more calories, but it is pretty much functionally true in that if you do what most people would consider normal amounts of exercise while you’re trying to lose weight you will burn very few extra calories
