After United denied my medication (it has been approved all year long), my provider appealed, got it approved, just for @UHC to delay the shipping for weeks. Normally it ships same day. They want this to fall off the end of the year so they can weasel out of paying for it.

Neg ones are 2 easy, so I’ll go +. When I ran out of options to treat my brain herniation, I was facing palliative care. My nurse & Dr were set on removing the stigma, telling me palliative wasn’t giving up, but just another form of fighting. That pep talk stuck to my soul.

@mikemajlak As part of a very large community of disabled people, I can tell you it’s not just a regional slur. Lizzo removed it & seeing Beyonce do as well means a lot to many people. Aside from the hurt behind the word, having understanding & consideration as a disabled person is vital.

@elonmusk @pmarca Awareness of side effects is important, but so is not generalizing a very vital medication while comparing it to a completely different class of drugs. Stigmas & generalizations are a tremendous burden put on prescribers & those who rely on them. Best not to add to it.
