We are Wigan Athletic in league 1. We are 4x champions of this league. We won the FA cup just 13 years ago, playing European football 13 years ago.

League 1 survival is abysmal. We should be pushing for promotion #wafc

It’s great that we have survived relegation but this is only masking what has been an absolutely horrible season.

We have been aggressively asset-stripped by Danson during his tenure and now we’re up for sale.

We’re a mid table l1 club now for the foreseeable future.

We have asset-stripped to bring wages down but have sold players at below their market rate. We’re now out of the red but with a low squad value…

@LaticsUpdates Generally yes, but when our academy players are mostly playing higher, it shows where we could have been if the club had showed some ambition.

@hjeffries5 In recent years we have produced a team of academy players that, had we kept them together, would have taken us to the Championship now and we’d hav been better off financially too, so the whole ‘sustainability’ model has been futile.
